  1. these are the old ones. not the new bodystyled midsized. are the new ones bad?
  2. i watched 65 with the guy from the latest star wars movies. it was a sci/fi adventure movie. i guess the best way to describe it is, there was always something happening on the screen. not usually too exciting. there was not a lot of excitement or character development
  3. i really want to watch this movie again. the dog scene at the beginning is so funny
  4. thank you. that looks so weird. im sure there is a reason its so wonky
  5. Is this true? I had my heart set on one but I couldn't find one in my area so I settled on a new ranger. I regretted getting it and wished I waited until I could get a Colorado. There is nothing wrong with the ranger, just I have wanted the Colorado since it was re-released
  6. I'm working on the engine and noticed the fan is super wonky. Is this accurate
  7. i tried both of the mr putty i could find, and hated both. its the first mr product i didnt like
  8. i have never seen this before. i like how the instructions show to connect the headers to the seats i have the old amt diamond in the rough kit that has a dented 1940 fold. it would have been cool if it was a junker mold
  9. There wasn't a seat in the back. It was storage area that I would sit in. It was the biggest area and I could look out and catch some breeze
  10. In case anyone is interested. I got this paint and it's great. One very thin light coat was all that was needed. It dried I. No time flat and the color is perfect https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000CPJLIK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  11. i used ebay to search for wagon for every year wagon from 70 to 84, the likely years of the car and came up with only a pinto, but this was a full sized wagon. anyone know of one? story behind why...i remember as a kid my mother had a lousy ford wood panel station wagon that always broke down. i remember the back glass would go down so i would sit in the "way back" and look out the back because it had no ac and the back would keep me cooler when i would sit there. i dont remember what kind of car it was, but i do remember the year was 1987 when my mother got fed up of it breaking down because we got stuck on rt 36 in eatontown (large highway). i remember that it was that year because we got a new hyundai, my mothers first new car.
  12. The interior is tremendous
  13. I was able to lighten up the vents at the top slightly so they look a lot better. The chrome pen doesn't look good on the large strips on the bottom so I'm going to sand it out and use BMF. the old decal i had for the hood did not work. it had no stickyness to it
  14. I did the chrome. It's very thin so it's hard to see on the white. I also put black on the vents. I think it helps a bit. Might be a little too contrasting but it needed something I have a blue stripe for the hood. Im going to see if I can use it. It's very old.
  15. thank you. now that i have painted it white, i kind of wish i did a different color. i guess i will see after i chrome it.
  16. you can still leave a negative for a seller as i buyer. i did it this week. did not ship it, did not respond to emails, so i put in a refund request to ebay and all of a sudden they decide to ship it. i left negative anyway because they were terrible. i have no doubt that had i not put in a refund request, i would not have the item yet
  17. My first screw up on the build. I glued the engine halves together and I guess I put too much glue because I put it on a toothpick to hold it up and when I finished with my break I looked and found it fell off the toothpick and the plastic melted away. I will puddy it after work to fill the section that's gone. I guess I need to be more careful with how much glue I use on thin pieces
  18. thank you for the info. I bought it from gasoline alley and it said it was a 60's issue, but if i had to guess, they got that date from scalemates because it has that info as well. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/amt-t238-225-67-corvette--1255721 i am curious of what year it was originally purchased since it was on sale for 1.25, if the price was 2.25. thats almost 50% off the original price. its only a dollar off, but percentage wise, its significant. I dont have the wrapper anymore to check the store name to see if i could find them on google to find the state they were from or any other info. i really enjoy that type of stuff. i dont know why i didnt think to look sooner. EDIT> I just searched through all of my old pictures, and i cant find one of this box before i opened. i would have bet money that i would have taken a picture of it, but i didnt. meh anyway, thanks again for the info. if it a re-release, Its still a cool box to look at
  19. hopefully there are not any negative side affects of speeding this up. i understand that is a highly used road and it being down for too long is bad, but another issue would be worse.
  20. if the computer is just black when you power it on, i suspect it could be the RAM, motherboard, video card or wire or monitor, or maybe just the power supply. most computers will have some kind of boot up display when you first hit the power button while it does it's internal checks of the ram, video card, drives, etc. it may be just a flashing bar or even a logo. i believe you mentioned its a dell, so i would think there would be their logo. that is why i mentioned the wire or monitor in the sentence before depending on what the computer repair shop says, i would ask the seller to reimburse you for the costs if it is a hardware issue. if they wont, then i wouldnt feel bad about leaving a negative or neutral. they should stand by their product, and if they wont, then other buyers should be warned of their bad business practices. if it's the OS, (i am assuming windows), then they should be able to quickly reload it back to factory in less than one hour if it were me, i would have just put in an ebay not as described complaint and asked for a refund, if it doesnt work, they will give you the money back, even if the seller said no returns. it sounds like you tried to get their help and they wouldnt, so hit that negative button. its for everyones best interest i hope you do let us know what the final result is on this
  21. The body has been painted white and is quite glossy. Hard to tell in the picture because it's white. I don't see any dust in the paint. There might be a small spot on the roof but I should be able to compound it out. If it is there. Tomorrow I will chrome the car. Today I will move over to the engine since I am waiting on mail for the interior and the body
  22. Mold lines on the body have been removed and the body has been fully prepared for primer and washed
  23. Now that I finished the MPC Corvette I decided to build another boxed classic, an AMT 1967 Corvette release date of 1967/68. This kit was originally sealed with a price stick of just over 1.25 on sale. The instructions have slightly discolored but don't seem too brittle I'm going to build it stock. The plan is going to be white with a light blue interior. I. Going to work completely on the body first instead of last. This is my last antique kit that I had in my stash begging to be built Completed:
  24. i actually asked my wife to look for super glue, but she thought i was joking. its starting to heal now, but man it is really deeply cut. it still hurts. so stupid for cutting towards my hand instead of away. i guess i need a gentle reminder every once and a while
  25. i usually start a search and then on the right hand side, click the labels for Toys and Hobbies->Model Kits->Automotive if you are using a cell phone, you have to click filters first, then do the same as above to find the right section. the cell phone version is not nearly as friendly or this link brings you right to the models section https://www.ebay.com/b/Toy-Models-Kits/1188/bn_1852447
