What would YOU like to see as a model
Smoke Wagon replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Since the ‘79 Bronco is being reissued, it’d be nice to see MPC’s ‘80-86 Bronco hit the shelves soon again too. Last reissued under the AMT brand in the 2000’s and hard to find. Another that would be nice to see again is the Revell/Monogram ‘48-50 Ford F-1 pickup, I sure like Ford’s Bonus Built line. -

Sure thing Bob, I’ll PM you a video of the process here soon to better explain what I mean. -

I’ll take white into consideration, most I’ve seen have black bumpers though. As for the window trim Bob, that’s just brushpainted on. I did use masking tape for around the top and sides of the windshield though. The side windows and rear window were easy, just paint the trim black and then wipe a Q-tip over the parts that need to stay body color. Since the trim is recessed, straight lines are easy to achieve. -

Got most of the trim work on this knocked out. From what I’ve gathered, I think these pickups had body colored trim in between the boards in the bed, so it won’t be 100% factory stock. Although I think I’ll go through my parts and use a single round mirror on the driver side rather than using the west coast mirrors that come in the kit. I’m also leaning towards black bumpers. -
Saw a Mustang Mach-E in traffic today.

I got lucky and the rain came by and washed all the snow out a few days ago. Rivers are pretty high though as to be expected.

Time will soon tell, AMT’s Nova wagon is out on the shelves now.

Dear Round2, I hope you give your camera guy a copy of the Foxy Box reissue before he explodes. Holy cow.

Nice! Great weathering on the second truck. Definitely a cool theme you’ve got going on with these two. -
Sweet lookin’ Mopars you got there Mario. You’re correct about the most recent reissue, it has narrower wheels and tires compared to previous releases. I first became acquainted with this body style of Monaco/Fury when I was a kid watching them being used as crash fodder in A-Team reruns on TV.

Never thought I’d say this, but that is one cool minivan. I really dig the stock car treatment, that’s a fun idea executed pretty well. -

Those exhaust manifolds look pretty sweet. Nice work separating the hoods. -

That oughta come out nice. I’m sure the red primer would be useful for weathered builds too, sand through the color coat and the primer is a nice oxide color. I bet David. Those touches you put on your pickup sound like they all tied together nicely. -
Do this FORD have an 8 ft bed?
Smoke Wagon replied to AlbertS's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
A long bed can be found in the first release (red truck with black rocker panels), ‘95 release (white and green two tone truck on box), 1993 Snapfast Plus (dark blue truck on box), and on the promos. -
Well shoot, I’ve gotta tackle my plethora of WIPs (especially that Kenworth) before I get too carried away. I’d like to do some more old postwar cars and pickups, along with some early 40’s stuff. I’ve got a couple things schemed out ready to go, one being a Moebius kitbash that’ll be a ‘66 F-100 4x4 Flareside pickup. My mom also wants me to build her the Supernatural Impala (I don’t know who’s a bigger fan of that show, her or my girlfriend). I also want to build a replica of an early 80’s Chevy S-10 pickup that my dad used to have.

Thanks Bob! For the grille I used Tamiya TS-7 racing white over red rustoleum primer, it gives it that warm shade of white that the 1:1s have. -

Nice Ranchero Bob! Great job on the side scripts, clean work. -
If they do another EV kit soon, then the new Hummer would be an interesting candidate. So would the new Ford F-150 “Lightning”.
