  1. I have the first issue of the EXT, it came with stock wheels and tires along with large aftermarket wheels and low profile tires. The decal sheet was a little lacking. I hope this reissue makes up for that.
  2. Bill, that’s just a photo of L.A. train tracks on any normal given day. ? Jokes aside though, I went down there last summer, plenty of graffiti to be seen and litter strewn on both sides of I-5. We were advised to not leave hotel grounds after dark as well.
  3. I like when Round2 does these vintage box art releases with the white background, black borders, and no words on the box top. I might get one, build it, then cut the box top off and put in in a picture frame.
  4. That’s how AMT’s Chopped T 2-in-1 kit is. Pretty easy fix though, I just dropped the whole chrome tree into the lavender lagoon overnight.
  5. No matter how great something may be for some folks, there will always be people who don’t like it, aren’t interested, and think the logo sucks. That’s just human nature, we all think differently, we all have our own mindsets, and we put different weights to the pros and cons of things.
  6. I just sent him an offer for $5. For 70K you can get a pretty nice real Mustang.
  7. Just finished one of these a couple weeks ago. It’s a fun kit, and the flathead that comes in it is well detailed. The cab was a bit finicky to get glued into place during final assembly, but everything else went pretty easy.
  8. They could go a few routes, probably depending on who they can make a licensing agreement with; Toyota, Hyster, Clark, Yale, and Allis-Chalmers are the ones I can think of that we’re making forklifts in the 70’s.
  9. I’ll just have my collection of built and unbuilt kits passed on to my son but he’s not born yet so I really can’t say whether or not he’d be interested.
  10. That’d be nice, but they already repopped the Freuhauf dry van with Coke decals a while ago in 2018: And repopped it again with the Santa decals in 2020: Might be best to let that idea fizzle. A parts pack with Coke crates, pallets, decals, and a small forklift would be nice though.
  11. That wouldn’t be an issue at all if we just listened to Henry and kept driving Model Ts like he wanted. ?
  12. With all the people moving up here from California and not knowing how to drive in any weather but sunny, it’s beginning to get that way here too.
  13. I had the Joe Diffie song in mind when I read the title, forgot there was a show by the same name. Nice Rambler and a smart reuse of the white cornbinder decals.
  14. I suppose given just the statistics, it would be more of an educated guess than an assumption. However, countries around the world are seeing climbing obesity rates. It’s not solely an American phenomenon.
  15. I quoted your remark about American cheese because I found it funny. My comment was in good humor, I apologize for it not being easy to interpret. Diplomacy isn’t really part of my expertise. To answer your question, yes, we have actual cheese. Everything from processed plastic like Kraft to expensive small batch cheese and everything in between. I live a few hours’ drive away from the Tillamook cheese factory.
  16. You don’t suppose we all eat nothing but hot dogs and shop exclusively at Walmart too, do you?
  17. By cranking up the contrast and saturation, it’s easier to see where the red painted roof stops and where the trim on the A-pillar begins. Bad lighting in the original photo paired with the reflective nature of the trim (reflects the red paint on its surface) creates an illusion of the passenger side A-pillar finished in body color, when in fact, it was clad in trim the whole time . I rest my case, and retire my tinfoil hat for the evening.
  18. Thanks Mike. Too bad paint wasn’t as durable back then as it is now, we’d probably have a lot more 1:1s that didn’t get infected by the midwest rust demon.
  19. No problem. I’ve found more helpful modeling info on this forum than I have with any other available source of information.
  20. X2. Would be nice to see an XJ Cherokee as well, which it appears as though Round2 is taking that into consideration.
  21. Thanks for the kind words. As for your question, I cut out a piece of tape about 1/2” long and rolled the chain up in it tightly, then hit the whole deal with a lighter until the tape conformed around the chain.
  22. I don’t think I’ve seen anybody bike in the snow before. Must’ve been quite a good workout eh?
  23. MPC has a 1:25 scale snap kit Blazer, might be a good starting point if you’re looking for that subject in particular.
  24. Been there, done that. I felt like a real horse’s behind after that one time I got into a childish and petty argument over what wheels came in a box of a toy car. It’s not worth it, even when you know you’re in the right, nobody wins. Besides, the PMs might be a better place to hash it out with each other. Maybe you could even reach a level of understanding with one another.
