  1. Don’t get me wrong, the kit is nice to see on shelves again regardless.
  2. Considering the pickup in the movie was a stock Lightning with Racer’s Edge door decals... I wouldn’t expect the kit to be anything more than a stock lightning with Racer’s Edge door decals.
  3. When I brush painted the 4 banger for my WIP Model T, I mixed up some turquoise, then added a little bit of gray and a smaller amount of black and yellow. From what I could find as far as green T engines go, only the block and head is green, while the transmission and oil pan are black. I can’t verify though.
  4. I’d recommend trading with Larry anytime. He is more than fair and goes the extra mile to make sure what he’s trading is well packed and secure.
  5. The easiest way to make a 1:25 ‘92-‘96 Bronco like Walt’s is to play Dr.Frankenstein with an AMT 9th gen F-150 and an MPC ‘80 Bronco. You could always shoot Round2 an email about the possibility of them making such a kit.
  6. I sucked it up and went with my right. Had a few gutter balls and only one strike.
  7. My point exactly. I worked a minimum wage job at age 18 for 3 months to get my foot in the door. It was actually pretty easy to land a $24/hr job after that.
  8. Happy Birthday Carl
  9. Most of that detail is molded into the plastic (that’s why I reluctantly chose not to remove the ejector pin marks). All I had to do was brush on a base coat of acrylic paint, then dry brush a few different shades of brown and tan on after the base layer dried.
  10. That’s true. There could just as well be a chance that the decal sheet for the D50 will be Coke logos, side marker lights, and 5 sets of license plates instead, lol.
  11. There’s a used car dealership in a town close to mine that has a Smart Fortwo painted in red and yellow to look like a Fisher Price Cozy Coupe.
  12. Beautiful paint job. That two tone will really class up that Burb.
  13. If only Fonzie could see the irony in that... I’m sure there are more chopped ‘49’s than stock ‘49’s at this point.
  14. Sure, but with a new kit you’re getting bagged and unscratched glass, unblemished chrome trees, they’ll clean the molds, throw in some useful decals (like instrument panel), and they’ll probably throw in some pad printed tires too.
  15. Burnt two fingers (middle and index) on the power trowel’s exhaust at work earlier today. My little sister is having her birthday party at the bowling alley tomorrow. Either I’m gonna have to suck it up or learn how to bowl left-handed, lol.
  16. The thing is, fast food jobs were never meant to be a long term career. It’s intended to be a first job for a teenager, a temporary job to get back on your feet, or a part time job for a college student. If you stick with the job then you’re supposed to move up within the company, not continue to be a line cook at 35 years old. These jobs are not that physically demanding, they’re not complicated, and there’s no prior experience or education needed to qualify for these jobs. That’s why they have historically been minimum wage jobs. If you’re qualified and able to make more than minimum wage, then there’s no sense in barking up Ronald McDonald’s tree. Just my 0.02.
  17. Thanks Andy. And I agree. The worst is when there’s fat pin marks on chromed parts that you wanna keep chrome.
  18. I use Super Clean. I paint with Tamiya Laquer and Rustoleum paints. I store it in a large plastic tupperware container. It lasts a while too, I’ve been using the same jug of Super Clean since last year. A few days of soaking and some patience is all it takes.
  19. Thanks guys! Your kind words are motivating. Was able to get some detailing done yesterday evening. There are 4 ejector pin marks in the bed, but there’s also some nice molded in wood detail, so it sort of balances itself out, lol.
  20. I’ll take “Super Clean Won’t Give Me Answers To My Questions” for 200 Alex.
  21. Decided to go with dark green for the body. I used Tamiya TS-9, and Rustoleum gloss black for the fenders. Here’s a mock up of what I’ve got so far: I used a nice dark stain on the bed rails, and dry brushed black on them a little. When those dried I shot them with some Rustoleum semi-gloss clear.
  22. Lol! “Jesse, we need to cook.” ”Gee I dunno Mr. White, you said that two months ago on that meth forum and you ain’t done jack, yo.”
  23. That’s just part of the fun. Especially when say, the oil filter looks the same as the starter in the instructions. ?
