  1. David Lee Roth has done a few notable covers, as a member of Van Halen, and during his tenure as a solo artist, such as this one originally performed by the Beach Boys: I’ve noticed (Oh) Pretty Woman hasn’t been brought up yet, originally by Roy Orbison.
  2. Walt would never... he “picks up litter”
  3. Reminds me of Flowers for Algernon lol
  4. @Mr mopar Was the bed any good? I ordered a Ford crew cab from trailer trash a year ago and it was a nightmare.
  5. Not sure if this counts as it’s more loco than auto...
  6. On this build I just used a black Sharpie and masking tape to help keep a straight line. I agree, the Cat 3406 is pretty nice for a snaptite piece.
  7. Top notch weathering
  8. The service box looks great on that Dodge.
  9. Got some time this evening and laid down some color. Fingers crossed it dries as glossy as it went on.
  10. Sweet lookin’ shorty 4x4! I think the tool box is the cherry on top ?
  11. This is a dual-purpose forum; it also serves as a social experiment.
  12. Beautiful work on the grille. If you decide to go with the faded look, Id suggest shooting some clear on part of the body below the crease line where the sun doesn’t beat directly down on it. Either way you go it looks like it’ll turn out good.
  13. Thanks Carl. This is the look I’m going for:
  14. Yes @Repstock that’s the one! Top notch build and some of the best detailing I’ve ever seen put into a model. Excited to see your Ford take shape too, @Oldmopars. C class campers are fun stuff. Many a time I rode on the overhead bunk looking out the front facing window on the way home as a kid.
  15. Well, keeping in mind that it’s a garbage truck, it’s kind of a niche subject matter to begin with. Slap an MSRP of 90 bucks on it (over twice as expensive as a legacy semi kit) and only people reeeaally interested in garbage trucks will be taking these kits home.
  16. Nice Ranger Splash, Tim. It looks like it just got back from a photo shoot for Truckin’ magazine. I dig those seat patterns!
  17. I forgot they made a 4x4 kit of it as well. I’d like to see the 4WD with decals like these:
  18. Great build! I like the two tone, it reminds me of a King Ranch. Black is a tricky color, you pulled it off well.
  19. That truck and trailer go together better than PB and J. Beautiful work.
  20. Great scratch building! I like the detail on the roof of the 579 and the trailer looks nice, square, and sturdy. What a cool way to show off those die casts! Is the Flareside pickup on the back in 1:25?
  21. Got the coat of flat black on the body again. It’s ready to get the window trim and cowl masked off. I decided on Testors extreme laquer mythical maroon for the body color. It looks close enough to Dark Toreador Red. (Ran out of plastic spoons lol)
  22. Thank you Bob. I liked the color itself but I think it would go better on a Flareside pickup or something fun like that.
  23. “Electrolytes, it’s what the modelers crave.” I hope the Budd wheels parts pack isn’t going to be 15 bucks more than other parts packs.
  24. I wonder what condition the tooling for AMT’s Ford Ranger and Explorer is in. I’d sure like to see them reissued. My mom used to have a ‘97 Explorer XLT in Light Prairie Tan metallic. The Explorer kit came with Limited and XLT grilles and bumpers.
