  1. If minion memes are still a thing, I’d bet my last dollar they’d be on facebook.
  2. How about dark metallic red with a white stripe on either side with a gold outline around the stripes?
  3. Hehe, that made me crack up a few times. Did his mannerisms remind anyone else of Peanut from Jeff Dunham’s act?
  4. You and I puttin’ goofy reactions on each other’s posts. I know it’s you because I only get the notifications at the same time it shows you visited my profile. Anyway, just want you to know it’s all in good humor on my side.
  5. Nice job on the foiling, and great color choice.
  6. From the looks of it I’d say you’ve been warming up to it Lee.
  7. Great lookin’ mixer! Were the folks at the batch plant fine with you driving off with it to take pics?
  8. Nice job on the frame and engine Sam.
  9. That’s unfortunate, it’s not too bad of a kit from what I’ve heard. Good thing is if there’s enough demand then without a doubt it’ll be on shelves wearing a “Retro Deluxe” sticker. The folks at Round2 have proven themselves more than capable of bringing long-lost kits back as of late. I like Alan’s idea of a combo kit. With how little parts there are in antique car kits, it’s nice to be able to build 2 from one box, like with AMT’s Ford Model T and Model A kits.
  10. The Flyer would be cool to see as well. I think MPC did a couple older cars like that in 1/32, as well as Lindberg.
  11. Got the chassis rolling. I extended the driveline and rocked the rear axle back a little so the wheels will be centered in the rear fenders.
  12. No kidding. That or at least the haul away car transporter. A normal box van is a bit of an odd choice from a builder’s standpoint.
  13. Nicely done. Paint looks good to me in all the photos.
  14. Given that it’s USPS, I think standard procedure in a scenario like that is to use parcels for jack stands.
  15. With the way some things are going in the world these days, one could only hope that it’s destined for a brewery.
  16. No kidding, I came home tired one night and decided to clean some parts, forgot gloves and dove both my hands in that lagoon. After only a few seconds of scrubbing my hands got tingly. Needless to say my skin didn’t appreciate that all too much.
  17. Thank you for the info, I think that might be what did it. I only let the primer set for a day before I started shooting color. At least I’m getting my money’s worth out of that tub of super clean
  18. I think it’s more of a matter of tradition. Things like 5 lug wheels, live rear ends, and numbers centered on the doors have all been hallmarks of previous cars, and are some of the few things that have remained constant within the sport. It’s the equivalent of MLB changing the color of official game balls to be fluorescent orange and letting teams use aluminum bats. Sure the ball would be easier to see and the batters could hit the ball further, but it’s just not the same to many people. With stock cars becoming less stock with each redesign, traditional features such as those listed are becoming the only thing about the cars that some fans can relate to.
  19. I stepped outside yesterday evening to shoot some Rustoleum 2X Hunter Green and 2X Sun Yellow, both went on their respective parts glossy, but dried almost satin and dimpled. The temperature was in the mid 40’s. The parts weren’t outside for more than a minute or two. I did the same process with their 2X primer and that went on fine.
  20. You bring up a good point haha. Kind of like a 49 Merc in that regard. One thing that’s intrigued me about the 71-73 sportsroof Mustangs is the near-horizontal back glass. I wouldn’t wanna be the guy who puts an open bag of candy on that package shelf.
