Great looking NSX, even today it's still a beautiful design that aged very well. Nice choice of color.

Magnifier 1/12 Ford GT 40 Done !
happy grumpy replied to cobraman's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
From where I sit this looks really great and in larger scale the details become more important so does the fitting. Just because a kit is bigger does not guarantee the build will go easy. From your results, I think you're too hard on yourself. Remember, the most important thing , you have to have fun. That's all that matters . You did a super job, it looks awesome. -
Thanks Mike. There is so much to look at here . It's easy to miss stuff. Thanks David Thanks Bill. Movies cars are really interesting.

AMT Great Dane Reefer Trailer
happy grumpy replied to iamsuperdan's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Beautiful work. ERTL produced some really fine kits back then. I wish I had more space, I would like to build more trailers. -
Beautiful model and photography to match.

Stretched AMT White Freightliner
happy grumpy replied to TruckerAL's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Great looking freightliner. The extended frame is really well done. all that extra work makes it pop. I like the light color frame, it brings out the details. -
Thanks Carl. I was careful not to upset her while I was building.?

Very cool van. -
thanks Jim. Thank you Steve Thanks. Thanks David Thanks Glenn. Thanks Bob. Thanks Jonathan. Thanks Hugh. Thanks Chris Thank you Eric. Movies are a powerful medium. they have a way of increasing the value of certain cars (think Bullitt) Thank you Helmut. The darker pictures make her more sinister. Thank you David, the last 4 photos were taken in a "Darnell garage " spirit. Thank you David. Agreed, some did not like them but I just love the designs of that decade. Thanks Hector.

AMT 1/25 Scale 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Navy Metallic.

Beautiful 442. awesome paint job. excellent detailing of the interior and engine bay. -
Glad to see another caddy 57. Gerat job on a not so great kit but a great subject mater. I'm also glad you posted it . It just shows that with care and work, a subpar kit can be built to very nice piece minus the inaccuracies which are not really the designers fault, they had very little to go on according to it's history. That's a great color choice you put on yours. The 50's was a great decade for American design and while not perfect , those old kits are a blessing for old nostalgic folks like me. thank you for posting yours, it's a great looking build.

1966 Chaparral 2E

Gorgeous build, nice and clean paint job. -
This thing looks so real. The paint job is excellent and the engine details make it a joy to look at.

Yet another Christine . I don't think this particular car would be this popular had it not been for that little movie made from the Stephen King novel of the same name. Being a big Mopar fan I won't complain. The first paint job was a disaster, the second time it went well so here it is , waiting in the corners for her next victim. The build pretty well despite the delicate suspension and steering parts. I left the belvedere script untouched, the difference barely noticeable. Tamiya spray red and pure white coated with TS 13. The big flaw in this kit is the curved side trim that I had not corrected, I have seen others that did it and it make a whole difference. At least it's a decent representation of an iconic movie car so I am ok with it. Hope you like it too. If you read that far, thanks for looking.

Not an easy kit for sure, you did it great justice though. I like the color and the black stripes. Super clean interior and details.
