  5. Excellent work. There is a lot to look at on this one.
  6. Nicely done. Having built two of these, I agree that there are some minor issues but compare to others, they can be fairly easy to overcome. That's what model building is all about. Frustration is part of the learning curve. I don't tend to criticize older kits, they have the excuse of being old, I am less forgiving about brand new kits that have fitting issues. But in the end I am glad we have them , warts and all. A challenging kit can be extremely rewarding when done correctly. Yours is a good example . I like the light weathering on the chassis.
  7. What a beautiful feisty thing. I dig it.
  8. Beautiful rendition of a classic, specifically the 63 as it was unique. Recently, I saw one that looked pretty much like yours, although the wheels were a little different , brought a smile to my face and some memories of that time. Great build and photography.

  13. Great job on your first weathering project. Weathering opens a lot of possibilities for you to exploit , at times ,It can be demanding but it can be really satisfying, as your model demonstrates.
  14. With a lot of work and talent, an old kit can turn out to be awesome. You certainly nailed that one. Really impressive ?
  15. Inspired by real life . When I was young, I got stuck on a deserted road with my beetle. The distributor clip broke off. It was getting dark. I had a piece of copper wire so i tied the distributor cap with it and I was able to go home. It was fairly easy back then to get going with simple tools and your wits. The kit is the revell 68 vw with the more detailed tamiya wheels and tires. I added the lights to emphasized the story. Stuck on a deserted road at night, we can all relate to that. i built this during my 2 week vacation. As always , thanks for looking.
