  1. No mention of the model year, though?
  2. Preliminary box art for the upcoming 1/25 AMT Peerless "Roadrunner" Logging Trailer reissue, kit #1103: Oddly, the page for the previous 2009 reissue is still viewable, but the only change appears to be the new pale gold background color: http://round2corp.com/product/peerless-logging-trailer/
  3. Sneak peak at the forthcoming 1/25 AMT Fruehauf Model FB Panel Van Trailer in Coca-Cola livery:
  4. Preliminary box art for the upcoming 125 AMT Wilson Livestock Trailer reissue, kit number 1106: Is that tractor a tease of something to come, too?
  5. Ooooh, maybe...
  6. I would've loved to have seen this in the mailbox. This...not so much.
  7. No Superman logo anywhere? No deal.
  8. Is there a production/packaging date on the bottom of the kit box containing the incorrect body?
  9. I don't think Round2 has made any announcements yet, but I'm pretty sure they will eventually do just that. IIRC, they included the two different sizes of Goodyear Polyglas GT tires in kits first ('69 Hurst/Olds and '66 Mustang?), then later offered them as a stand alone Parts Pack. Come to think of it, I think they did that for all of the Parts Pack tire sets-- included in kits first, then available separately.
  10. Round2, or at least the Autoworld Store, has released a few posters, but I've only been able to find two on eBay. One of the sellers told me they were included with a case purchase of kits, so I'm still not sure how many were made, or who the target audience was for the posters. They are worth seeking out, though, and mounted inside a decent picture frame they display rather nicely IMHO: Cut out, assemble, and display them, as Round2 intended: Same here, but the adhesive on the early MPC and AMT logo stickers was not strong enough, and all but one of mine came loose. The AMT/SC and Sreet Rods stickers seem to have fared the best, but I have yet to apply the Hurst sticker, and never acquired one of the Kenworth KW stickers. I don't have these (yet), but they are similar to the above Nova and '40 Ford posters, though am I unsure of their size(s):
  11. ^This. Glue bomb = just walk away, not worth the time and effort.
  12. I understand. I'm not building it stock, so I have a bit more leeway, but the more accurate the starting point, the better. It does look like a well-engineered kit, though, especially with how the firewall, body shell, floorpan, and frame all fit well together, and have reliable alignment surfaces with one another. Tulio does do black vehicles very, very well.
  13. These two are due for reissue again semi-soon, I hope.
  14. There go my low winning bids. Thanks, Mike. I actually bought a big lot of vintage wheels from that seller a few weeks ago, so definitely a good seller to buy from.
  15. I bought one dirt cheap on eBay a few years ago, but didn't find anything inside worth using for parts. I was hoping the transaxle setup would be better than it was, and the SBC isn't anything special, either. I think the best use is to build a Syd Mead style retro-futuristic vehicle with the body parts.
  16. I have a technical question regarding the Hendrickson tandem suspension pictured above. The rear driveshaft appears to be a perfect 90* to the face of both axle housings (or 0* to both pinion gears), so that both axle housings appear "tipped back" a few degrees-- is that correct, or at least accurate as far as what would typically be seen with the full weight of the tractor resting on the tires? Or should they be positioned more like the image below, with the axle housings plumb and the cardan joints accounting for the angle differences between the two pinions?:

  18. Equalizing beam bushings installed and drilled out for the bolts (though technically they should have pins), and a test fit to check alignment and positioning relative to the )now soldered together) leaf springs: I also checked the wheel center/spindle height with all axles set in place and the rear is .5mm higher, which is fine for now. I still need to make the spring saddles and I can always add a small shim/spacer up front to level things out. The front tires really fill out the front wheel arches, so a little extra space between them wouldn't be a bad thing, either.
  19. Yes, both-- the '64 GTO from Polar Lights, and the '65 GTO from AMT.
  20. You'll need two, as the front and rear wheels are different diameters in that kit. The recently reissued AMT Fireball 500 kit includes Rader/Radir wheels, too, though they aren't quite as nice as those in the Revell '64 T-bolt kit Mike mentioned.
  21. There will be posters galore.
