  1. The Ramcharger isn't horrible, but there are better kits. Keep working on the Ramcharger and I'll see if I (and anyone else who might have suggestions) can come up with some options.
  2. Which Round2 kit is this from?
  3. Isn't there a worldwide law which states all round rollbar mounted lights must be KC HiLiTES? Nice work on this one, Robert. It absolutely has "the look".
  4. I would advise against that, based on your earlier comment. Are you wanting to build a Sport Utility type vehicle? If you can give us a little more info regarding what you'd like to build, we can try to help you find a few good candidates. There are some really nice kits available, but also some older kits which aren't all that enjoyable to build, even for experienced modelers, so hopefully we can help you find a kit you'll enjoy.
  5. This Poel is German, but not quick.
  6. I see that, too. There needs to be more material between the drip rail and top edge of the rear quarter window opening. I would say the top edge of the door's window frame needs more upward arch, too, as it's nearly flat. The upper front corner needs more radius, too, which I think would be mostly alleviated after the top section receives more arch. I will disagree there, and in fact, I would lean the other way if anything. The roof overall looks too flat, like it was raised from a chopped roof...which, well, maybe it was. It's not easy to compare with a real car as the Revell kit's windshield also includes the gasket, too, so without that in place, I will admit I don't have 100% confidence in my eyes.
  7. Very true. I cut, shaped, then glued the two arched pieces into place, and drilled some new holes for the front spring eye bolt. After looking at the Hendrickson suspension drawing again I noticed the spring eye pivot point is higher than the rebound bolt holes, so that helped level the springs out, too. I still need to fill the old spring eye holes, but it's sitting much more level now: On to the equalizing beam bushings...
  8. They probably are supposed to be Cragar G/T wheels, and the texture was exaggerated. Pactra Flat Black was pretty thick back then. Whatever they're supposed to be, they're disappointing and not just the texture -- check out the outer half of the lugs nuts floating in space.
  9. A quick search on eBay turned up an original 1967 MPC Monkeemobie with those tires. Hard to see, the LR tires definitely have the "MPC" in raised letters:
  10. Wow, those have to be from very early in MPC's history. Neat find.
  11. I think that's the main issue, and one not easily corrected. Not a deal breaker, but the texture is way too heavy, unfortunately. I was considering buying the decal sheet alone, then realized the ladder bars and slicks could be put to good use, too, so I took what I needed and re-sold the rest, leaving me with another great box to display.
  12. I'm a bit surprised they haven't done that yet, especially considering they have reissued most of the kits both Model King and Stevens International released. I wouldn't mind seeing the Tempest before the Falcon, but my guess is the Chevy II "Rat Packer" will be reissued first, right about the time Moebius' Chevy II/Nova drops. I picked up the Mustang kit, mainly for the decal sheets and a few parts, and while it has a few odd parts (the textured spokes of the front wheels really stand out, but they are probably Ansen, Superior, or another knockoff brand/model of the S/S), it's a very period kit, locked into that pre-Funny Car era of A/FX and match race cars. The decal sheet is great, and even if you just use the kit for parts, it worth the cost at current eBay prices (<$25 to your door). It's too bad the Ford SOHC engine isn't better, as that would really push the value of this kit over the top. 13. Have a look-see at the contents of the 2001 reissue here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/846/revell-ford-3n1-rat-pickup This kit contains the newly-tooled wide whites, tires, and appropriately sized matching steel wheels, too, also found in the recent Tweedy Pie kit (and at least one more Revell kit):
  14. See below topic, please. Same basic kit, but the AMT retro version is the newer release:
  15. Well, there's this, though it and everything else announced seem to be delayed(?) until late June 2018:
  16. Wow, the price really jumped on this reissue, but it appears to include fiber optic lighting now, so maybe that somewhat explains the 50% price increase over the last reissue? Technik Features: Dashboard Lights Headlights & Rear Lights "Pope's Nose" rear Light Flashing function for front and rear lights
  17. It was supposed to be out by now, but most recent dates say late June or so.
  18. Content pics here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/843/revell-ford-police-coupe-2n1 It's a very nice kit, but as mentioned earlier, this kit only allows you to build a stock version. The police parts (and there are very few of them) are simply tacked on to the stock car, so this is more like a 1.25'n 1. The contents are mostly shared with the earlier Revell-Monogram Pro Modeler and later Revell '48 Ford Convertible kits, and though I wish Revell would've seen fit to release the stock Coupe first, it was well worth the wait. Perhaps we'll see a modified reissue of the Coupe in a few years with a street rod type option, similar to the Revell '40 and '48 Ford kits.
  19. Round2 recently teased that they "found" the mold for the MPC version, so I would expect we'll see some version of it within the next 24 months or so.
  20. I think everything south of the roll bar hoop in Rob's pic needed to be included, as the grille block-off piece appears to be at the bottom, and it's rather prominent on the box art, too. BTW, does anyone know what the circular, red, white and black "P G" logo just above the Mooneyes logo is? I don't recall ever seeing that one before:
  21. Yes. There might be some hope for the AMT kit, though?
  22. Not a chance. I'm betting someone had an extra cab section or two laying around.
  23. Yes. Pics of the contents here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/92/24-tamiya-toyota-carina-autopista Good to see someone finish one of these. It's really a neat looking car and pulls off that late '80s monochromatic/Euro with directional wheels look very well.
