You don't need to click on the image to enlarge it if the image link for forums (see my post above) is visible under the image you want to copy. I do it was Bob says- have two windows open, and copy then paste each image, and repeat for up to ten images per post.

No, this forum will automatically downsize images which are too large. Are you copying (Control or Command C) the image link which reads "[img}........[/img}", then pasting (Control/Command V) it into the body of the reply box?

This kit, correct? No, it's not that great. It's a '60s era Revell kit, so lots of molded in detail underneath, a two-piece main body shell (with the "chassis" molded as one with the bottom half of the body), separate roof, and maybe 55 parts total. Unless you must have it, don't get it.

Milwaukee NNL 21 - April 13th, 2013 Waukesha, WI

Yes, it's on the northwest corner if that intersection. If you see the gravel pits, you went too far. -
There are some extra/differnt parts between the GN and GNX kits. There's a review of the GNX in the Model Cars: Kit Reviews section which shows the parts unique to the GNX.

I think you can bring as many models as you want, and there are no fees other than the per person entry fee, but Nick would know for sure. If anyone wants to get together and meet up/eat before the show, LMK. I think Mike S. is still planning on being here that day, and I will be going, Andy sounds like he's in, so maybe we can meet beforehand at one of the nearby restaurants before the show on Saturday. There is a Texas Roadhouse two blocks east and many other places nearby. -
More tire parts paks?
Casey replied to johnbuzzed's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
They aren't available in a Parts Pack yet, and I'm not sure if they will be. If they are, it may be PP#006, but only Round2 can say if'n that'll happen. For now, we have to buy the reissued AMT '66 Mustang coupe or the '69 Hurst/Olds Cutlass kits to get the newly tooled Polyglas GT tires. -

I noticed most online retailers have discounted the tin-edition '51 Chevy kit, down to $35 or so from the previous $50, and I think Hobby Lobby marked it down to $29.99 IIRC.

Studebaker Community Build...with a Meet & Greet in South Bend, IN?
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Community Builds
I made a bit more progress and worked on the rear wheels, which were just hollow hoops. I had some 1/20 scale Lindberg Chevy S-10 custom wheels sitting nearby, and sure enough, they were really close to the hoop diameter, so I turned them down slightly until they fit snugly inside the hoops, narrowed them, and test fit them: They still need to to have the chrome plating removed and hubs finalized, but once I get some Moon discs I can set the final thickness/depth, then glue the hoops to the wheel centers. I need to find some circa-'63 disc brakes so I can't say what the backside of the wheels will look like yet, but the parachute(s) will do most of the stopping anyway. I also started making the chassis, using brass tubing for strength. The chassis will be handled often and many parts test fit with it, so styrene tubing just wasn't a good choice from a durability and strength standpoint. The chassis will be of the small, semi-professional shop-built variety, and won't be too complex, but will hopefully be believable when finished. l've got the main rails, two crossmembers, and one x-brace in place so far: I set the driver and engine in place to make sure the frame width was going to work, and it looks like it will. I worked on the driver and seat next, as the driver needed his hips and thighs thinned down to allow him to seat fully. Once he was thinned enough and fully seated, it was clear the 1/24 scale seat was out of scale compared to the driver, so I started making the seat smaller and more proportionate. The sides of the seat were really thick and didn't look very realistic, so I thinned the left side, both inside and out, until the seat was more realistic and its lip was lower: The driver looked like he was being swallowed by the seat due to the high sides, and I still need to shorten the front edge of the seat as it extends almost to the driver's knee pits, but he fits the seat much better now: -
Welcome aboard, Doug, and welcome back to the hobby. We've got a few other Yinzers here, too.

Yeah, I never was a fan of having to click the "View all" option, and now you can't even do that. Maybe once everything is fully updated that option will return, as well as the ability to re-name images. Sorry, Bill, no missing images in my albums.

Ah, so there's an asphalt Modfied kit in Moebuis' future?! You read it hear first!!! The front tires on the Tumbler toys I've seen all are peaked at the centerline, so they don't look very good, but those on the real Tumbler, and probably the Moebius kit, could be put to use by many people I'm sure.

With this and the Missing Link '73 Chevelle, it's going to be a banner year for GM Colonnades in 1/25 scale. I'm really looking forward to the Grand Am, as I think it's the best looking Colonnade of the bunch.

One of the best, per the reviews above. If you take a look at Speed City's in progress page, you can see how much effort is put into creating and correcting parts. That alone tells me Speed City is determined to provide accurate parts and will do what it takes to make sure the parts are correct and top quality.

I was thinking the same thing after looking over the 1/12(?) Tumbler toy, and wondering if it could supply two rear Pro Street tires and four SS TSLs. Nor sure if the Tumbler's front tires are based on a real tire or not, though, as the shoulders/sidewalls are a bit funky, and the tread is not typical:
-
Could be. There was another person selling the original box art prints last year, and the seller was located in Romeo, MI, so it may have been the case. I wonder what got cleaned out of the building before it was razed a few years ago.
-
I think the tri-fold catalog above was sent to the general public, as it was mixed with some catalogs in an eBay listing.
-
Exactly. They are worth what you're willing to pay for them. If the seller agrees they are worth the same amount, you'll have a deal. Nobody can tell you if they're worth buying. Only you can decide that for yourself.

This must've been from not long after Okey acquired everything from Seville?:

More tire parts paks?
Casey replied to johnbuzzed's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Good memory, Dan. The Revell Parts Pack engines reissued in the '90s/early '00s are still available for cheap (4 for $16 shipped to your door on eBay), so I don't think those were ever good sellers, either. Round2 has found a sweet spot with parts pack tires, and I think if they pit the Polyglas GT tires in a parts pack (#6, perhaps?), they would be a huge seller. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Revell (excluding AMT here since they haven't released any non-promo kits in a while) has the ability to simply mold ONLY the engine parts from a specific kit. Yes, they'd save some plastic if they could mold only the engine parts, but the entire mold needs to be placed into the molding machine, and I don't even think it's possible, as the molds are currently designed, to mold sections individually. Tires are molded separately from the rest of the kit, so they are far easier and cost effective to sell separately, or paired with other tires in a parts pack. -
I don't know if that particular style of Olds valve cover has ever been made in 1/25 scale. Most of the '60s era Revell Olds engine had Offenhauser aftermarket valve cover, but Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland would be the first place I'd look for them.

IIRC the '69 GTO Judge was only available in Carousel Red (which really looks orange) when they were first available, but later in the model year other colors were offered. http://ultimategto.com/69colors.htm http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1969-pontiac-pg01.jpg
