  1. Speed City Resin has a few fuel injection setups: http://www.speedcityresin.com/PartsPage.htm
  2. What size (at both ends) do you need/want them to be?
  3. Yes, it is a perfect match and everything looks great, Fred.
  4. Please edit your original post and add (or remove) good traders to (or from) your list instead of starting a new post for each new trading partner. That way, we can keep each member's list tidy, easy to follow, and to the point of letting other MCM members know who you've had good trading experiences with.
  5. Sure they could do it, but would it be a good business decision to do that? IMO, no. Yes, Rob, that kit currently exists as the 1/24 Revell '55 Chevy Street Machine kit.
  6. Does that issue have semi-soft Michelin MXX3(?) tires?
  7. Michael's accepts competitor's coupons, so if Michael's is only offering 40% off that week, go online and find a 50% off Jo-Ann, A.C. Moore, or Hobby Lobby (though their 50% off coupon seems to be a rarity) coupon and use it. Heck, just pull it up on your smartphone and you don't need to print anything out. Hobby Lobby now accepts (only) their coupon presented on a smartphone, too.
  8. I understand how and why that works on a 1:1 body, but in 1/25 scale, does it work that perfectly? You'd have so little plastic-to-plastic contact at the C-pillars, that keeping the hardtop in place permanently might be an issue for the average builder. Full glass all the way around would help, but Revell isn't too fond of including side windows.
  9. Great color choice on a gorgeous body.

Oh, are the wheels and tires cast as one piece, or did you assemble them, then paint them? Other than the missing wheel centercaps on the rear wheels (or maybe that's intentional?), the wheels work really well with the body's triangular shapes.

That looks pretty nice in yellow and black, even with the tri-spoke wheels. What happened to the right rear wheel's lip? Did you just make the first build with curb rash?
  12. Look at how nice the AMT '71 Challenger looks when you add the "hardtop". That trick doesn't work. It's got to be either a convertible or a fixed roof, not both. Revell got raked over the coals here for not including an uptop with their '72 Oldsmobile Cutlass kit (but Moebius got a pass for not doing so in their Hudson kit?), so how well would an inaccurate 2'n1 convertible/hardop kit play out with the serious, adult modeler? I don't think too well, as Art made reference to. I think Revell understands the market pretty well, and understands if someone really wants a drop top '57, they will buy both the '55 convertible and the SnapTite/Easy Builder '57 Bel Air, kitbash the two, and modify as necessary. The sales numbers of those who would buy the convertible '57 probably do not justify the cost of creating new tooling to create it.
  13. Was the hood bulge necessary for power brake booster clearance? The twin supercharged version was referred to as the R5, correct? I was looking at the Due Cento last night online, and 625+ horsepower was very impressive for 1963. Lots of possibilities for this kit.
  14. Yes, there are grey areas and some overlap, the perfect exmaple being your current SuperVan SRT build, which has remained in the Model Cars section, instead of being moved to the Model Trucks section. It's half Ferrari and half Caravan, whereas Mike's van is, well, 100% van, so it belongs in the Model Trucks section. I see what you did there. This is not aimed at anyone in particular, but I have noticed some "Your post will never be seen there" and "That section hardly get any traffic at all" type comments lately, as if there is an award handed out for the most viewed topics or most comments received. One of the beautiful things about this fourm is it can be both a huge ego booster and a harsh reality check, often times in the same post. I think some people get caught up in how many replies and comments their work does or doesn't receive, and forget about the whole reason this forum exists- to share your work with others, as part of a community.
  15. See this post, which I just pinned. It details how to quickly and easily find all of your posts: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61235&st=0
  16. In fairness to Mike, he started his post long before the forum was re-organzied, which is why it was in the Model Cars "Under Glass" section, then moved to the Model Trucks "In Progreess & Under Glass" once that section was created. Gregg has tried very hard to impress upon evryone that the Model Cars Magazine froum is a community, defined as "a group of people with a common interest working together in a common location", so let's please try a little harder to think about what works best for everyone, rather than what we, as individuals, want to see changed to suit out personal taste. Harry has stated many time theres, you can't please everyone.
  17. I attached the tail light bezels and trunk panel to the body shell tonight, added some styrene rod from behind to strengthen the joints, cleaned up the gaps a bit, then cut, fit, and glued the little trim pieces beneath each bezel. The trim pieces will need to be thinned slightly once the glue has cured, but the back end of the car is almost done: The rear bumper will need to be re-chromed, but I should be able to mask the bezels and preserve the chrome finish. The lump on the left inner fender where the battery tray should reside was cut out, so I will patch that area and make a battery tray, then place the modified battery from the '69 Charger R/T kit on top: I need to start thinking about interior and exterior colors soon, too.
  18. I sure hope so. I'd to see that one get finished. Are you officially in, Jeff? That could work, too. Or maybe we could contact the museum and have some type of show there?
  19. I can never seem to get my hands on one of these kits....jealous! Nice to see hinges made and operating like real hinges, too.
  20. I like how you chopped the top with a few wedge cuts, yet kept the rear window opening intact.
  21. I thought it kind of looked like an evil troll.
  22. People will see it...there's no prize for most views. Looks good, Derrick. What is that on top of the hood scoop?

    What if...?

For some reason, the squared off wheel arches look better to me. Same thing on the Split.
