Round2's site is rarely up to date when it comes to releases, but since the Auto World store is their retail arm, it's more current, having pre-order items listed: https://www.autoworldstore.com/product-p/mpc897.htm

Box Art Puzzles from Round2
Casey replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
All are based upon new, commissioned artwork, so it makes sense they'd go with these first. I'm sure if these sell well we will see more. -

True, but if you are a savvy shopper, you can find something. Plus, there's no shipping cost involved and you get instant gratification, so worth paying a few dollars more up front sometimes. -

Where to find: 1935-36 ord wheels and tires.
Casey replied to Kyle Krueger's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
How about the stock wheels from the early 1/25 Monogram '36 Ford kit? Not sure how long they lasted, but they've long since disappeared from the kit. ? -

Thanks, Mark. Never would have guessed the AMT '37 Chevy included six-lug wheels.

They keep getting new kits in. Saw the Dodge D-series pickup and Coca-Cola Ford Van, there, too. When I was a kid starting out, I shopped at place which didn't have every available model for purchase, and I seemed to have pulled through just fine. While we are spoiled to have eBay and the internet at out fingertips, having a smaller selection of kits to chose from at a retail location doesn't doom the hobby. -
I think this one is my favorite, as they come, straight out f the box. Unfortunately, this box was empty: Another web page covering the Renwal Revival series of kits: http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/publish/tonhazelaar/wwwhome/kits-renwal.html

What is the reasoning behind them? Ground clearance for damage prevention from poorly maintained dirt tracks?

Second Gen Ford Bronco Design History
Casey replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I actually like that. Seems based on the first gen, with slimmer proportions, first gen Courier style (or maybe Pontiac knock-off split) grille. The greenhouse looks more like a J-series Cherokee 2-door to me, but the bodyside trough seen on the F-series is present, too. -
Obscure Kits You Never Knew Were Made...Until Now
Casey replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, I saved an old eBay listing for the 1/16 Frog Vauxhall Victor Estate listing for many years. Multi-piece body, if I remember correctly, but kind of looks like the real thing. This one is from Triang(?): Rabbit hole divers, aim here: https://www.planetdiecast.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=141&id=83682&Itemid=2455 https://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=280&t=10088 -

Never knew there was a Morris Innocenti(?!!!) kit available, in 1/16 scale no less: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MORRIS-INNOCENTI-Electromechanical-CAR-MODEL-PLASTIC-KIT-USSR-TOY-LADA-1-16/223477221747 -
Kits Which Were Once This, Then Became That

Same here. Just a question, and as Rex said, Revell has been known to mis-label the scale when their boxes go to print. Might be good fodder for further discussion in this topic: And definitely in this one. How is there not an accurate stock '65-'66 Mustang fastback available???:

Thanks, and good question. More sleuthing to do. ☺️ The two wheels I have do match the color of this MPC Monza promo very closely: They also appear to match the green color AMT used on their early '80s 289 Cobra and others. This might be getting too deep, but the wheel I have, on the left, appears to have the gate remains at the 11:30 and 6:30 positions (or 8:30 and 3:30, if rotated 90* counter clockwise), while the wheels on the Olsonite Eagle above are closer to true 9:00 and 3:00 (or 4:00 and 7:00 in the case of that loner).
