I have had a similar problem with the slixx decals that I used on my landy’s dodge dart. Against my better judgment I tried to lightly sand and polish it out. Then respray it with another coat of clear lacquer, but the results were that it only looked slightly better. I realized it would never be right unless I stripped it and started over. The only problem was that the decal sheet was out of production. Being that it wasn’t leaving my shelf l decided to leave it alone. I now put all my decals on after the clear coat which eliminates this possibility. Your hornet ? looks fantastic by the way. You can be very proud of it. These old race cars often had many small flaws in them when you see them close up and in person. So I guess if I were you I’d leave it alone. although while the decal sheet is still in production now would be the time to fix it . On a different note how did you convince slixx to make decals for a body that’s kinda hard to come by ?

The Omni inspiration started when I saw this unwanted snap kit on eBay. So I decided to give it another chance as a lesser built Sox & Martin car . I also found a 3-D printed 1978 challenger body also on eBay, and thought both of these bodies could work with the mpc Vega as a donor kit for the chassis and interior tub. So far the paint jobs came out pretty good although I had some bleed through issues on the Omni. The interior tub fit really good I used the Omni dash on the Omni and will use the Vega dash for the challenger . The Omni will get a 340 engine. The challenger will be built as a curbside. As I found the 3-D printed plastic very hard and brittle to cut. I’ll have to move the front wheel wells forward on both builds.

One of the best pro stock kits ever made. I would like to see a remake of this one. I’ve sacrificed many of these for parts over the years, and the inventory is low

Oh yeah very cool

Yea and a mopar missile , and a Billy the kid demon , and Melvin yowel . I would also think that the pro stock pinto would be a hot seller and they already have Dyno don licensing

I’m right with you on that. I think the sox & Martin duster would sell very well they could tool up a demon grill option. A 1972 cuda 2 & 1 with stock and a pro stock option would be a automatic good seller

Looks great ? I can’t wait to see the 58 impala

I always thought that the johan bodies were the most accurate proportioned. The lindburg chassis fits the johan bodies pretty good with a little trimming, and gives much better detail

They both look great the blue max is my favorite

No colt yet. I’m working on the 1978 dodge challenger starting with a 3-d printed body from a e-bay seller. This is my first attempt at a 3-d so far I’m finding the plastic on the hard and brittle side. After cutting off the mirrors I won’t be opening up the hood. The second project is the 1979 Omni starting out with a monogram charger snap kit

Jeff I have also found that the Vega parts fit very nicely under other short wheel base bodies. I have two Sox & Martian projects started using the Vega as a donor kit
