  1. I like it a lot so far, flattering colour choice, neatly done and a great idea with the two-tone splash on the sides!
  2. Nice job on the winch, and that dash Is so realistic, knobs, info plates, instrument faces so neatly done!
  3. Looking’ good! Snow coming Saturday, git-r-done!
  4. Great job on that, both look quite neatly done to my eye! Seems like a very challenging mod but you set it up so the machining was consistent, very clever! Excuse me for asking, which kit are we talking about here, I may now have to get one myself
  5. Wow, it looks so realistic! That spare tire mount is made like a watch mechanism, wouldn't surprise me if the wheel bolts on too. Love the look of those straps and buckles, still need to get back to the bench to try out the method
  6. That plow looks nasty, as it should! I built just the plow part a while back for use with a Jeep, but... then my Ford Louisville Snow Plow kit was supposed to be done for LAST winter...nice to see that SOMEONE can resurrect a stalled project! Weathering is fun, I need to get back to it, thanks for spurring my memory!
  7. Such a simple solution! Maybe time to re-do mine, made from strips of masking tape. New straps with buckles and maybe even mounting tabs. Seeing your work makes me want to 'up my game!'
  8. Wow, those tiny straps look so realistic! A neat finishing touch, and still more to come? Can't wait!
  9. Wow, looks great in green! Ironic, the replication a soft skin unit with a hard shell, LOL! Neat how well a simple idea like the tissue tarp can appear so realistic with some tweaking, even better if you can roll up the sides, yet another superlative detail, it just gets better and better
  10. Great idea! That really was thing, the 1989 SHO Ranger... https://www.therangerstation.com/forums/index.php?threads/ranger-sho.187751/ I like the next gen version like yours better, though!
  11. Thanks for the great pictures, Tim! Amazing to see this kit finally being realized after all these years since the announcement, was it really mid-seventies. Upgrades to the C900 kit too! Life is still full of surprises, some of them good, LOL!
  12. Looks great in shiny brass! The hinges worked out fine, an operating hood is a great feature and so neatly done at that!
  13. Hood sides? A four-piece hood, like a Model T or A? No detail missed, amazing!
  14. Sorry again, another duplicate post that I can't delete, but while I'm here, is there not a way to roll an edge in thin metal creating a tube that a wire could be fed into for a hinge? I’ll should visit the Tips forum for hinge ideas…
  15. Neat job on the windshield, the glass should fit right in! The dimples in the bodywork look like they're stamped right in the metal, as they should, great job! Coming along nicely, soon it'll be time for paint
  16. Love the brass fittings and that grille, so neatly done! Amazing you can line up the rods and keep them in place for soldering, must have had a bit of practice with that, LOL! Nice to see such progress, inspiring!
  17. I feel your pain! Final assembly can be a challenge, and it feels so bad to have to hack at finished work just to make things fit, but you certainly have the skill and patience to make it right again! (Glad it's not just me this happens to!) Now, doing details over at this point Is kinda embarrassing, but just demonstrates your high standards, and you have my respect!
  18. OOPS, though DJJ might have referred to Josephine Jobert who plays DI Florence. Didn’t know Dwayne was a serious actor, though they all must be since the show is well done. Miss him, funny how the crew keeps changing, such a beautiful place to film, Guadeloupe, I think
  19. Love the build, Greg, thought of doing one myself, wish they used the readily available Mercedes G-Wagen (I have two)
  20. If it's Detective Florence you're referring to, I agree!
  21. ‘The Little Engine That Could…’ RUN! You didn’t miss a thing, with that neat little fuel bowl, love the brass plumbing and that fan is the best I’ve seen! So great to see the photos before paint and body attached, inspiring what realism you’ve achieved! And you’re not even finished…!
  22. Just noticed your work here, Doug, and from the scope and quality of your work I just know you’ve been creating these vignettes a long time, so very impressed by your creativity! Used to love seeing your little shop and scenes back in the day! I like making puzzles, this looks like some of the car and truck ones I’ve done, and would love to see that one done, about 1000 pieces would do!
  23. Nice job! Very creative, neatly done and the weathering is spot on and not overdone like most!
