Calb56 replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)

Strange. Same link... Anyway, I haven't ordered that but I've ordered his speed equipment pack and the McCulloch Supercharger. Pretty nice pieces, pretty sure you'll be happy.
-
I just received an email back from Norm at RMoM and three of the four parts that I wanted to order, which are no longer listed in his 2024 Catalog are still available. Including the scoop pack I was told about. I am so happy!!! Sometimes life is good. Charles

Got part 2 and 3 of the drip irrigation lines set up in 30 minutes. I need to set the drip lines still but I have a phone meeting in a few minutes. So, I'll finish it in a bit. All in time for my wife to water tonight.

Right now 87° with 27% humidity. Tomorrow's supposed to be about 15° cooler and overcast.

My wife has tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, basil, cucumbers and squash... I have more drip irrigation to do now that I got the main one set up.

Well... one rat wasn't smarter than Victor.

Facebook misrepresentation
Calb56 replied to Rockford's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Never had an account. My wife does cuz she has kids everywhere. Me, if I want to see something, I text my kid and he either sends me a Pic or his family comes over. Hate that FB now limits how much you can see of a "business" page unless you're a member, thank God Ed of Drag City answers emails... -
I'm glad you're okay... and the dog. I won't go on about people letting their dogs run loose. Those collapsible zones might work well with the laws of physics but play heck with repairs.

30s cars made into trucks
Calb56 replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
An ute would be cool. Evidently it had been cast at one time by AAA Resins, who stopped casting last year. Would be a fun rabbit hole to go down... -

"Simple" Revell 30 Model A Coupe. finished 4/11/2022
Calb56 replied to Mr. Metallic's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Just bumping this. I will be getting to the 30 Ford soon and this is a remarkable thread. -
Well... I know our rats like peanut butter and so far smarter than Victor.

Been awhile but I know there's some way to post YouTube... Anyway the band is from some town in North Carolina. I like indy music doing it's own creating outside of the corporate world of entertainment.

Finding new music that I like. I always love discovering new music. https://youtu.be/uE0waEdE2Pw?si=hKofvKhwGgB5yR_v

Wrench, oh I initially read that as "wench", my mistake.

Ordered the Victor traps, going to give them a shot. Several of the reviews mentioned how they're great for rats and squirrels. I know squirrels are just rats with fuzzy tails and effective pr but I don't want to kill them, so the traps will go out at night and I'll bring them in each morning before work. As for the rats, my wife swears there's one particular one that stands upright and flips her off when she takes the pug out...

So... we're down several days more of "labor cost" but very little physically accomplished. My wife got frustrated and posted if anyone could suggest anyone able to do sheetrock, painting and floors. She received over twenty people responding who are looking for work, licensed and bonded with personal references. I told her to see what this guy accomplishes in the next two days, if it's not an improvement (we've spoken to him multiple times over the last three weeks), I told her to choose 3 or 4 to come place bids before this "handyman" bleeds us dry. This is why I... well, I'm much calmer than I used to be.

Finally found a photo of a scoop I want to find. Wondering which kit it's available in? Thank you Charles

Always hope for possums. When we had possums living in our back yard, we never saw a rat. Unfortunately, they haven't been here for a few years. Will need to look for that trap. We don't like using poisons either.
