Close to 20 years ago I purchased a Pantera Testors 1/18 diecast kit that had to be assembled in Portland Maine at Kaybee Toys. At the same time I also purchased a Testors Plymouth Prowler 1/18 diecast kit, which also had to be assembled. I still have both on my shelf.

It came out great. I have this kit in my stash but have not had a change to tackle it. Looking after my 93 year old Dad occupies more time then I ever thought...

Reduced Stock in Model Stores ?
Kenmojr replied to Anglia105E's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The four Walmart stores in my hometown (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) used to have lots of car model kits and stopped carrying them just over 10 years ago. Now they only carry diecasts. So sad to see the decline. Amazon Canada sometimes have kits at a good price and being a Prime member, shipping most of the time is FREE. Amazon.COM is a better place for models but my Prime is only valid for Amazon.ca. Shipping from the USA to Canada is often more costly then the purchase price of the kit. If only AliExpress would sell kits...LOL -
For Christmas I got a $50 Michaels gift card from my cousin. I got one last year and along with the 30% and 40% off monthly coupons, I was able to purchase a few car model kits. Today I dropped into the local Michaels nearest me in Halifax (there are 3 Michaels stores in Halifax area) and noticed there was only two car model kits and the shelf area for models was greatly decreased and now occupied with paint by number kits. I asked the sales clerk if Michaels would be replenishing their model stock soon, and she informed me "No", that due to a supply issue with models and paints, they were not. And perhaps would not be selling model kits and supplies anytime soon. Has anyone else in Canada or USA heard this news? I am hoping the elderly lady sales clerk is wrong....

Fantastic work, love these traditional styled hot rods, just like the real ones featured in HAMB.

Love the 53 Stude. I built this kit many years ago in the mid to late 1960s. I recall it offered a Bonneville version with a dual blown Hemi. This is gonna be one killer build, I can see it !!!

Can any moderator kindly move this post to the correct section I posted above or delete it. As I posted here in error.

Sorry but I posted this to the wrong section. I meant to post this thread in "1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)" https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/forum/14-11-reference-photos-auto-shows-personal-vehicles-cars-and-trucks/ Could some kind hearted moderator move the thread there. Or if they prefer, they can delete it and I'll start it a new in the proper thread as I have quite a few more photos to post to this thread. Sorry and many thanks...Cheers from Nova Scotia... Ken

I thought I would start a thread for some of my photos of 1955 Chevys I've taken over the last 15 years or so at local car shows. Weekly summer A&W Cruise-In, Woodside Ferry parking lot, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia summer 2018.
