I REALLY like this. Never realized Keystones would look so good on a 50s Ford. Nice job on the Thunderbolt scoop, and the piston shift knob might be my favorite touch!

Quick build mostly box stock. I swapped out the big & skinny Western wheels from MPC’s “Fuzz Duster” and added some speed parts stickers to the rear window and the classic “Mighty Mopar” front plate. I was trying to end up with what you might have seen running around the back roads down south in the late 80s. Paint is Krylon Gloss Red Pepper from a spray can, trim done with a Molotow pen. I had some trouble with the air cleaner decal and the one door decal. I had to trim off the whirligig shapes on the edges of the door decals. Fitment was pretty good outside of a warped chassis plate and the fitment of the front grille.

LOVE this. The inspiration behind it, the countless hours and ingenuity put into it, the incredibly obscure subject matter, the diorama/photography, and of course, the finished product. Excellent job! -
The only word I can come up with is “wow.” Unbelievable job on that engine bay. So many details on this build that I never even gave a thought to try to pull off. A very inspiring build for sure!

Great job on this one! As mentioned the color, wheels/tires and details make it next level. I can’t get over how well you got the shift pattern on the knob!

That flat black on that body shape has to be one of the most menacing looking cars of all time. Well done!

X2…this thing is the definition of craftsmanship. Excellent job

Absolutely amazing. Engine bay takes my breath away. That old FirePower Hemi with that custom work on the intake is a sight to behold.

Nice lineup! Those rigs look like 1:1 photos! -
Thanks everyone!

That Gremlin is awesome! Best use of that kit I think I’ve ever seen. The rest are equally well done, but man that thing just leaps off the screen! Killer job

All absolutely stunning pieces. I’m especially partial to that GTX convertible. Wish I could turn out even one let alone 19 masterpieces like that!

Thanks everyone. @Hard_2_Handle_454, I knew I would have to have someone make the stripes to match his silver, but I was disappointed for sure to see the kit did not come with black and white stripes. As you mentioned they show them on the box, but all that came in my kit was license plate decals. As far as fitment etc I didn’t have too many problems, just getting the stance and track right on the Pegasus wheels was challenging. Everything else went together fairly easily.

Hi everyone. This is the first model I’ll be posting to the forum. I decided to make my dad a 1:1 of his 71 Chevelle as a Christmas gift this year. Finished in correct MCW code 24 “Ascot Blue” lacquer with custom silver stripes made by STS Decals. I started with the AMT “Street Customs” 72 kit and made a number of small changes to closer resemble his car. The wheels/tires and disc brakes came from Pegasus, the grille was done up with a Molotow pen to achieve the 71 correct center chrome trim, the air cleaner was robbed from a 60 Impala, the electric fan setup was from an AMT 93 Camaro, and a few other parts bin pieces helped to finish it off. Thanks to all of the members for all the tips I’ve picked up from this forum. This is nowhere near show quality, but a big step forward for me from previous builds.

2022 Cannonball " Birth Year Build" Entry: 1969 Dodge Super Bee

This may very well be my all-time favorite build I’ve seen. Common subject but taken to such an incredibly high level. The changes are all tasteful and work well together, and the craftsmanship is unbelievable. The engine bay, paint, trim work, wheels and tires. It’s all there. Excellent job. ?? -

This is phenomenal. First try at heavy weathering? Looks like you’re a well trained pro to me. Absolutely killer work. I love the top of the tailgate. Looks just like the 83 Chevy of my dads I ruined with a log as a kid!
