  1. This is fantastic build to look through and a really cool car to model
  2. I think I have seen it on spot model. No idea what it was like
  3. That's a great pair, really like different touches and see more each time I look
  4. Love matras and the world needs more v12s.
  5. I realised I only got to page 2 and missed all the other goodness!!! The weathering looks good. Love the detail and effort around the number decals and the door fittings
  6. That's a great motor and chassis looks clean so far. So much detail the bigger the kits get.
  7. This is looking great. Like the wheels. 1:12 must be big on the shelf
  8. I'll follow this. Looks like you've done a good job of getting it all apart. I feel I'd end up braking something critical
  9. These fifties racers are very pretty cars. When I collected diecast I had a couple FDS kits that I bought built. They where charming and even with lower levels of accuracy and detail made me smile. Will follow this for sure
  10. I'm not brave enough to even try a power tool ... I feel ill either trash the kit or find I've removed any hope of using finger ID
  11. More playing around. One if the headlights looks good the other has gone blurry. Still need to strip the paint and try again
  12. Oil cooler and the engine look great!!!! I think open upn the brake ducts
  13. Still playing with this. I tried to open up the vent like on the real car unfortunately the blade made such a big cut that it looks a bit weird and distorted the thin remaining plastic. Don't worry this is not the final paint and I'll be stripping it back for another go. I've also done 1 practice go at masking the rear screen to create the real cars soft top. It went okay and I know what to do to get the finish I want. Also tried to make the dash have a wood effect again, the dash will be redone from scratch as holes need filling and the new wheels hole re drilling I've seen I need to do a better job filling bumper kit holes too
  14. So much small details and well finished!!! Looking great
  15. Yes a 1:32 starter set, so it's actually Avery old kit. Had some warping and a lot of flash and the instructions don't really explain anything
  16. Looking really good, I did start the revell car but the black trim didn't go to plan so need to redo that one once I've learned some better masking methods I have a built chassis, just need a new body shell now. Yours is looking very tidy,I know you'll figure out a good plan.
