  1. Oil cooler and the engine look great!!!! I think open upn the brake ducts
  2. Still playing with this. I tried to open up the vent like on the real car unfortunately the blade made such a big cut that it looks a bit weird and distorted the thin remaining plastic. Don't worry this is not the final paint and I'll be stripping it back for another go. I've also done 1 practice go at masking the rear screen to create the real cars soft top. It went okay and I know what to do to get the finish I want. Also tried to make the dash have a wood effect again, the dash will be redone from scratch as holes need filling and the new wheels hole re drilling I've seen I need to do a better job filling bumper kit holes too
  3. So much small details and well finished!!! Looking great
  4. Yes a 1:32 starter set, so it's actually Avery old kit. Had some warping and a lot of flash and the instructions don't really explain anything
  5. Looking really good, I did start the revell car but the black trim didn't go to plan so need to redo that one once I've learned some better masking methods I have a built chassis, just need a new body shell now. Yours is looking very tidy,I know you'll figure out a good plan.
  6. Hi guys, Cobra is very nearly done (just need to redo the bonnet) So I started another airfix car to practice a few more things on. This time building the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours Class winning TR4a. Kits airfix and will pretty much be out the box. Here is where I've got to after a couple days, again some learnings. Realising patience in waiting for paint to dry and trying to get too much glued at once. Did try to open up the front grill and will be converting it from LHD to rhd. Dash will be wooden like real car. Some of the interior is guessed as couldn't find reference photos. Tried white piping on the interior too
  7. What an absolute beauty!!! Loved all the extra details you built into this!
  8. Interior is beautiful, the dials and the spare wheel straps are very nice. I like the fact seats slightly different colour to
  9. Will settle down for another tutorial on how to do an awesome build
  10. Those arches and front wings look great!
  11. Like the others I see no bumps, it's looking great
  12. So the missing wheels, steering wheel and dashboard where solved using a junked diecast AC ace and wheels from an old best Ferrari that was in a bad way.
  13. That looks great! Tempted to add this to my stash
  14. Been having a play with couloirs and I've picked racing white from tamiya. I like that it's a creamy white. Got lucky with being able to use my future father in law's garage to try some more spraying. This will be being stripped though as it needs some more smoothing out plus I need to sort out that red hood!
  15. That's a beautiful looking engine. Packed with detail
  16. Very nice, a very important little car
  17. The exhaust on one side has been cut short which means the headers don't sit quite far enough forward hence it has a slightly squiffy look to the engine in the frame. I've decided to go for a clubman (cobra raced after its prime) style look. The rear of the body has been almost melted in places given a hand beaten panel look like a racer that's seen better days and I think I'm gonna keep it as part of the cars riches to rags racer look.
  18. Awesome car, I prefer this to the all silver saubers.
  19. High air box cars look great. Enjoy watching masters F1 whenever I can brands, donnington or silverstone
  20. That's a smart looking block
  21. Love the colour and the silver stripes.
  22. That's lovely. Really like the 904 great shape
  23. Your cobra looks ace too, think I'm gonna go for a club racer. Thinking about modifying the hood with a scoop
