Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!
FoMoCo66 replied to Belairconvertable's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Here's a mpc 67 corvette that is ready for paint. I shaved the back bumpers for a smother look. And one of the few surviving models of the same kit my grandfather built. Don't ever plan to restore it. FMC66 -
Nice project. Looks like a fun build.

That is some awesome kit bashing ceep it up. Was the 63 johan a glue bomb or did you use a untouched kit?
-
I think spoiler but no chute. Just my opinion.

Just saying Tim's 100% right.

Here's some pretty good mock up pictures of a truck that I recently finished. It was a pretty long process to shortened all of the bed components. -
Who all had extra parts for many years
FoMoCo66 replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have virtually no spare parts compared to you guys. My grandpa and dad gave all their kits they had to me. I got all of my dad's kits because my grandma was so kind to ceep all of them in their basement while he was in college, but all of them were finished models and pretty nice ones to. But my Grandpa's were a different story. From what he told me he had a lot of kits and some pretty rare ones to. His mom also kept his for him, but he eventually gave most of them to his nephew who was sadly not into model building, but that was before he knew he was going to have my Dad who was quite into building models. Unfortunately later in life my grandpa asked his sister in law what happened to his models, she said they were all sold at a garage sale. All I got were 6 kits and a model box full of broken parts that for some reason he kept. -

Thanks for sharing but the switchers t that I am probably going to buy for this has headers with equal length exost ports even though it has a small block chevy (it also has pretty good wheels and tires for the Hamm's T.

This is probably a really dead thread given it was started 10 years ago but that was way before I was back in the model car scene or this magazine. I actually made a hot rod Playlist on Spotify with pretty much every song listed on this page. Here's a link. If you like it you can find it easier the next time you want to listen to it! FMC66

Thanks but I'm trying to diside to buy those or say the wire wheels it comes with are a good enough reputation Thanks but I was looking for 10 spokes not 12. If I wanted those wheels I would have stolen them from my drag cal combo falcon.
-
Thanks for all your help. After doing some research I thing I am going to use the switchers T and a resin engine. Does anyone know where I would find aftermarket 10 spoke wheels like the ones in the top photo?
-
Will do I think I found a decent resin small block ford on ebay for $10!
-
Do you think I would be OK making the engine in the chopped t look like a small block ford with different valve covers and so on?
-
Man those light add the next step for detail. What did you use for the trunk liner it looks just like the stuff from the factory?

I have that kit but I want to build it with the ford not the hemi. So I'm kind of in a tight situation. I have quite a few vintage built up engine's, quite a few are hemis. But the only ford is the awful 427 cammer that comes in the revell henry j and willys truck (I am 99.9% sure it is from the original release of those kits).

I was wondering what engine and trany this kit comes with if it is a small block ford than I'm in luck. My grandpa build a Hamms Beer T Bucket (hence the last name). He put a 289 dual quad in his (my dad said he has to put a ford in a ford i agree). I am hoping that I won't have to source another engine. Here's a pic of the car. FMC66

This might be off topic so I will take it down if needed. A flathead in a camaro!? Some oddball thing I found well surfing the web. This automatically made me laugh (it would be even funnier if this was a big block car).

Hope you find one.
