  1. I love flip front drag cars. This will be entertaining. Looks good.
  2. Good story telling. This will be cool. I actually like the front of the 64 better and the back of the 63 better, so this will be nice.
  3. Hey, I had the same idea for a model. This looks great. I was inspired by this car I s saw at the goodguys heartland nationals. Still haven't actually started on it though (you know how it goes).
  4. Probably the guy who designed the car had preferences on what he thinks it should look like.
  5. You gonna do blinkers?? This looks awesome.
  6. This is cool. I've seen this done once but not as much attention to detail with the body lines. Looking forward for more updates ?.
  7. Makes sense when I went to our local cars and coffee there were a bunch of cobbled up old miatas that looked less than ok. They all had poorly installed wide bodys. The thing is there were only a handful of cool classics cars. I also had to Teach some young guy what a manual fule and water pump were?.
  8. Oh good, I was worried that we were starting to get to off topic ?. Those colors on the interior complement each other very well. I like all the teal’s on this car.
  9. Looks good. And that's how it goes with molotow, the tips are junk. Apperently you can brush paint them and they come out decent.
  10. This is cool. I had no idea this kit existed. I got a cb650 running last year and sold it for some pretty good money. Rebuilt the carbs. The 79 had a one year only carb style. The choke cable was broken so I 3d printed some. The material is ultem (look it up) a super resistant material (i didnt print it). It came with a wind jammer installed by the first owner I nick named it the "Dork jammer". I removed it and it looks much better. Before After
  11. Like the color. Looks like the rustoleum metalic blue even though it's not. That's the color I painted the my top of my sox and martin cuda.
  12. Same with 66-70 ford falcons. So it probably means not all FoMoCo cars had there front fillerbpans painted silver.
  13. Y blocks are good little engines, better than the earlier flathead, and not as good as the later windsor. Anyway man that color looks so smooth. I like the teal on these generation fords.
  14. Oh and your car looks stunning. I have both the revell and amt 60 corvettes in glue bomb form.
  15. Oh and to prove how old this kits tooling is. This was originally produced by SMP way before amt bought them. Here's an ebay link to a perfect condition smp corvette. https://www.ebay.com/itm/145175419815?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=145175419815&targetid=1530439036211&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=1025858&poi=&campaignid=19851828444&mkgroupid=145880009014&rlsatarget=pla-1530439036211&abcId=9307249&merchantid=6296724&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhtWvBhD9ARIsAOP0GojtTskpF37yAoptXo5lQz3GEkcxAoW94ilc2j2ilkoeqR6EHK8UWzYaAilJEALw_wcB
  16. Remember he has already built this. He is just showing the progress over a couple of weeks.
  17. Hey! I would be interested in a wip for your blasphemi also!
  18. Ooo nice, I love this car (besides the mopar power plant). Just so you know there are a LOT of different between the 55 hardtop (the monogram kit) and the post car (the blasphemi). I hope you also get rid of those ugly super wide front tires. Anyway I am looking forward for more updates.
  19. Does one of those books happen to be UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED by Ralph Nader ?. Anyway nice consept the paint is stunning.
  20. That looks like the early 60s kind where the intake and heads were one piece. This is because this kit is really old tooling.
  21. Now I know a good idea when I hear one. And that idea sir is GREAT.
  22. YES JUST YES. Getting the chevy guys back for putting LS's in fords. And I like the tunnel ram 429, what kit is it from? Man you just keep speaking my language. I just want to put FORD POWER in everything.
  23. This has a nose down attitude? I didn't think so ?. I just think adding rake to these fords is the popular thing to do and had nothing to do with those Y blocks which weight similar to the SBC of that time. And I wouldn't consider this a boat anchor. Boat anchors are what came in full sized 70s american cars. Which usually had big blocks that made the HP of a 60s small block.
  24. The problem is they can just walk into a dealer and pickup the latest greatest mustang and have no prior car knowledge. That's why when you build your car you have a much better understanding of the effort to get that HP and you have more respect for how to handle the car. These guys annoy me sometimes because they dont have as much respect for their cars. That's also why you didn't hear this kind of stuff when kids built there hot rods back in the day, but I get it the hot rod guys also got in trouble sometimes.
  25. I discovered this technique to get a good vinyl look on basically any color intirior on the hpiguys youtube channel (i'm not taking any credit for this). I just thought I would share the technique and results I got from this. I'm using the sox and martin cuda from johan, an old glue bomb I am actively rebuilding on a separate wip. You start off with spraying your whole tub with the color you want, just make sure it's flat. In this case black. Then you get some future floor polish or the Pledge floor care. Take a brush and apply it onto the spots that you want a vinyl look. Do one medium coat and let it dry. This does not need a 2nd or 3rd coat because you want a semi gloss vinyl look. Here's the finished product. If you would like I can get some better photos in the next couple of days. FMC66
