Did some more painting.
-
Day 1: Interior Interior is painted. Used the Tamiya XF64 red brown paint and some super smooth clear coat from mr.hobby. Then it was time for carpeting. I've usually done this with the white wood glue, but i've used up my last bottle. So this time i decided to try some random craft glue i had laying around. I've never actually used it on plastic so not so sure if it'll work. Luckily it should come off pretty easily if it goes wrong. So we'll see how it goes. I'll let it dry for a couple of hours before shaking the excess flocking off.

Thank you! Yup, decals. Can't say they were easy. Did my fair share of fighting to get them on
-
What can i say - a pretty cool kit Not many fitment issues, but i did screw up some little details here and there. Overall, pretty happy how it turned out.

Hi! My Camaro is almost finished so i started with my next build 1966 Chevrolet Impala.
-
A bit of an update I have been busy with my work lately so havent got around to build my models. But the interior is pretty much done. Dont have much left to do
-
I've had my fair share of issues with different chrome paints before so this time, i decided to go with the Tamiya silver chrome. Didnt look as good as alclad so i'll probably wont do it again Maybe some metal foil for my next model - we'll see.

Can someone give me a painting tip, please?

Its not dust, its uneven clear coat. It usually happens when the primer and basecoat isnt dry enough befor clear coating or the clear itself isnt thinned enough (or combination of both). -
I mostly use paints from gravity colors. This one is called ferrari blu elettrico.
-
A bit of an update Decided to go with black stripes. Body is also clearcoated

Me too! Really hope they bring it back

Wow, this one was HARD......like really hard to build But somehow i've managed it. Is it perfect? - hell no! But im happy how it turned out. Kit itself is from Fujimi's - a nice detour from my regular revell kits. I have tried to build it before, but wasnt able to finish it. So finishing it this time is really a great achievement for me! I can now proudly display it ontop of my other models ?
-
Done! ? Can't believe i was able to finish it! This was my third attempt and oh boy was it a challence. Definitely dont try it as your first model (or second, or third......... or forth). Dont get me wrong, its a good model - just insanely frustrating to build. Did some mistakes and things i'm not happy about, but finishing it is an achievement. So im really happy! Will definitely try to build it again at some point....just not anytime soon ?

Its getting there

Aligning things along with very tiny and brittle bits is what makes it difficult to build. I'm not THAT experienced in building model cars so theres still alot of trial and error. The intake manifold itself consists of 14 parts that needs to align with the intake pipes (which consist of 8 different parts that needs to align with the exhaust - which is another 8 parts etc). So its a constant battle of aligning tiny parts. But im getting there Once im finished with this one, i might build another one in black ? Might look cool side-by-side

What can i say I'm starting to like this kit. Its hard AF to put together, but somehow so cool to work on.
-
Seriosly, why did i even start this... difficult AF ?

Decided to do another sanding. There was some flat spots and marks still left from yesterday. After that, a couple more coats of mr surfacer black Then it was basecoat time. This time, i went with the dark blue Still havent decided about the stripes. Black or white? Idea is to make it a bit menacing so im leaning towards black. But havent decided yet. The white would look awsome too.

Did some painting at sunset today ? Sadly, didnt have enough daylight left to finish it, but still.... Went with the usual way - first, wetsanded the body down with 1000grit sponge Then a couple of coats of mr.surfacer 1000 After that, a few coats of mr.surfacer 1500 black I'll let it dry for a bit. Then might do another wetsand with 3000 grit before the basecoat, but we'll see

I really enjoy reading some fun facts like these about these cars didnt even know that

Did a bit of cleaning. I'm not so lucky as some of you guys who has their own hobby room all for yourself. I have to keep my paints and bits in drawers. But they've been a mess lately. Well, not anymore Anyway, back to the Camaro Did a bit of painting. Painted some random bits A while back, i saw a youtube video about heatstained exhausts and wanted to try it out. So first, i painted the exhaust in chrome silver Then add some clear blue and orange The exhaust itself came out pretty good, but im not so sure yet if ill keep it like this. The Camaro isnt really known as a high powered supercar so the heatstained exhaust is maybe too much Dont know yet, maybe i'll repaint it.

Time for another build 1969 Chevrolet Camaro z28 RS Wont do anything crazy - just a simple out of the box build We'll see how it goes.

Thank you all for your kind words

Thank you! Most of the time, i dont really like to paint my models with factory-correct colors. I do like to experiment a bit.
