  1. @BDSchindler Excellent execution. I like the rake of your B-pillars over the inspiration shot. Very well done! Steve
  2. Very nice car, and nice collection too! Clean build. Love the transporter by the way. Steve
  3. Wow! They so should have done that!! Just awesome! Beautiful color choices in and out. Steve
  4. Well, it looks awesome! A trick I use is to cover the car with an old model display cover while the paint dries. (In this case a Future clearcoat. If you look really close there are paint bottles under the body keeping it off the towel.) There are other tricks like remembering to wipe the car with lint free cloth before painting and not painting where your finished parts are. The real question is what is the next project? That was a cool build! Steve
  5. Thanks! I am going to try that on a future build - looks very convincing. Good tip. Steve
  6. So retro! Very cool. And very convincing, especially grill and headlights. Do you wash the headlights with black? They look super good! Steve
  7. Perfectly dirty! Awesome car - well done. Steve
  8. Very nice build - looks awesome! Maybe could recommend a lint free cloth dusting before pics? But it is just soooo hard to control dust. I might try to darken the spot on the back of the roof where the pink is showing through the carbon fiber, as gray or black is less obvious to the eye than the pink (AWESOME color choice by the way!!). The trick is to not make it worse, and sometimes that's a problem for me. Go gentle if you try something there. Sharpie markers can be useful in modeling, but again go very carefully - not heavy handed. From the pictures there's just not much wrong here - you should be very proud of your execution. Especially for your second model. Great stance. No stray glue. Clean, smooth decal work. Good glass work (no fingerprints inside the glass 😂). You have really good fundamentals here. In general I would say always strive to control dust and overspray when doing your paintwork. It still causes me (lots of) problems after 50 years of modeling. I have yet to do a "flawless" paint scheme, though there are folks on this board who do. Learn from them. Finally, just keep building. You will simply improve with experience. If this is only your second model, you'll be top of the game in no time. Just have fun!!! Hope this is what you were looking for. Great Porsche!! Steve
  9. Clean build. Looks like a fun car!! Steve
  10. Love that paint. Nice build! Steve
  11. Nice work. A blast from the past. Nice shine on your clear coat! Steve
  12. Very nice builds! Bringing us back in time! That Judge - wow! Great work. They've held up well! (Love the glass tint.) Steve
  13. Very nice. The whole diorama just comes to life. Simpler times. Thanks for sharing these!
  14. Nice details. Very fun car to look at and great representation of the real deal. Stance is perfect!! Really makes this build. Well done!! Steve
  15. @Wild Child Thanks! I really enjoyed the dragster evolution you just did. Motorsports had an attainable magic back in the 60s and 70s that just seems missing in motorsports today. Love your work! (For example, I bought a '67 Camaro in 1985 for about what I spent on this model/paint/decals 🤣 - obviously that Camaro is long gone 😭)
  16. So clean. Very nice Mustang - love it!
  17. Nice pair! They look great together. Awesome work. Steve
  18. And a few outdoors. Love me some metal flake! Thanks for looking. Steve
  19. A battle royale? With who?? Jungle Jim? Connie Kalitta? Shirley Muldowney?? Nah, just a constant battle with that durn MPC Mustang Funny Car kit! (MPC930/12) Front axle - seemed a bit wide, narrowed it a quarter inch maybe. Panel with hinge pins for opening the body - seemed to close to the rears so installed it opposite of the instructions. Aluminum firewall panels inside body - thinned and cut back the blower covering, ground off anything below the top of the horizontal part, and extended the drivers compartment opening aft maybe 1/8 inch. Chassis - moved front axle aft maybe 1/8 inch. Continually messed with engine location after removing the mounting locators. And on and on. You get the idea. This one fought me every step. Hopefully the stance and proportions look about right after all that cutting and gluing. 🤣 Here ya go... (Slixx decal sheet BMM6-7065) I am happy with it, but what a fight! I probably made it harder than it had to be? Anyway, thanks for looking, and sorry for so many pics. There's just so much to show with funny cars. Steve

  21. Nice build. That Ford design has stood up very well and looks great to my eye even today. Black looks awesome - great work!
