That’s a very tidy Firebird! Lots to like about this one. Top stuff. 👍🏻

G’day Alan. Looking forward to seeing your work on the forum. Good to see another Aussie here. Thanks for the kind words regarding my recent HQ build, it went together really nicely and I enjoyed it. Got a few more DDA kits in the stash, so you’ll see a few more of these from me. 👍🏻

Leave it in the iso bath for a couple of days, a toothbrush should deal with the stubborn patches. Should look a bit like my Olds here when done. 👍🏻

Ooh! That is nice. I’d have that as a 1:1!
-
That is one good lookin’ Charger. 👍🏻
-
G’day Don, how’d you go with the Impala?
-
Sweet 32! Love that colour. 👍🏻

Top job on the Firebird T/A. 👍🏻

G’day Michelle. That is a great looking concept of a modern VH Charger. Lots of styling hints to the original incorporated in this one. 👍🏻

Hey Don. I can’t say for certain what caused the spots, but I’d start over, if it’s Tamiya lacquer, submerge the whole body in isopropyl alcohol, it will strip off the paint. I had to do this with one of my previous builds, takes a couple of days, but comes off mostly, the more stubborn parts you can scrub with an old toothbrush.

Well, Luke is the deep black gloss specialist. I do suspect that he has a little experience under his belt. 😁

That is one tough Camaro! Pearl yellow looks sweet. 👍🏻👍🏻

G’day Don, checked out your Mercury, and you do have a nice shine on that black! 👍🏻

Love seeing these old builds from before I joined the forum. That is a beautiful looking Ford, hits the spot. 👍🏻

G’day Don, what’s the latest on the “Orange wonder”?

Long roofs are cool! This Del Rio is proof. 👍🏻

The 68 Dart is my favourite US Mopar. I’m building one at the moment in gold, but mines stock. I love what you’ve done with this one, looks tough as, that rear rubber only just fits inside the stock wheel arch. Top stuff. 👍🏻

I do like a nice Impala, and I like this one. Top stuff. 👍🏻
-
G’day David, I’ll keep an eye out for it mate, I’m sure it’ll be sweet. 👍🏻

A sort of “what if “ build? Not a bad idea Luke, I reckon I’d even probably have a small block Chev engine in the parts box.

Nice job Andria. I built this kit back in the late 70’s when it first came out. When it got re-released a couple of years ago, I got it again for a nostalgia build, haven’t started it yet but looking forward to it.

Nicely ratted out! That’s awesome. 👍🏻

The heading of the post lured me into thinking of Chevrolets, however, I’m confronted by Fords! And, what a pleasant surprise. Your Tri Fives from the other side are beautifully finished and feature lovely 50’s colours. Plenty to like with these. Top stuff. 👍🏻

I used to love watching the Rockford Files on TV. I’m following this build.

Regarding the tint, I’ve never tried it, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work with a couple of light passes with the airbrush. I have the 32 Tudor in my stash and, funnily enough, got it from Shoreline hobby as well! 😄 It’s pretty expensive to get stuff in from the US with the exchange rate but sometimes certain kits don’t make it down here to Australia. I’ve not seen the Tudor in any hobby shop here. In the past I’ve bought aftermarket wheels and pre-wired distributors for my kits from vendors in the States but it’s too expensive, and this hobby is supposed to be fun! I’m sure getting a replacement axle off one of the guys on the forum will be a lot better than any e-bay transaction, lots of good people on here.👍🏻
