  1. Long roofs are cool! This Del Rio is proof. 👍🏻
  2. The 68 Dart is my favourite US Mopar. I’m building one at the moment in gold, but mines stock. I love what you’ve done with this one, looks tough as, that rear rubber only just fits inside the stock wheel arch. Top stuff. 👍🏻
  3. I do like a nice Impala, and I like this one. Top stuff. 👍🏻
  4. G’day David, I’ll keep an eye out for it mate, I’m sure it’ll be sweet. 👍🏻
  5. A sort of “what if “ build? Not a bad idea Luke, I reckon I’d even probably have a small block Chev engine in the parts box.
  6. Nice job Andria. I built this kit back in the late 70’s when it first came out. When it got re-released a couple of years ago, I got it again for a nostalgia build, haven’t started it yet but looking forward to it.
  7. Nicely ratted out! That’s awesome. 👍🏻
  8. The heading of the post lured me into thinking of Chevrolets, however, I’m confronted by Fords! And, what a pleasant surprise. Your Tri Fives from the other side are beautifully finished and feature lovely 50’s colours. Plenty to like with these. Top stuff. 👍🏻
  9. I used to love watching the Rockford Files on TV. I’m following this build.
  10. Regarding the tint, I’ve never tried it, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work with a couple of light passes with the airbrush. I have the 32 Tudor in my stash and, funnily enough, got it from Shoreline hobby as well! 😄 It’s pretty expensive to get stuff in from the US with the exchange rate but sometimes certain kits don’t make it down here to Australia. I’ve not seen the Tudor in any hobby shop here. In the past I’ve bought aftermarket wheels and pre-wired distributors for my kits from vendors in the States but it’s too expensive, and this hobby is supposed to be fun! I’m sure getting a replacement axle off one of the guys on the forum will be a lot better than any e-bay transaction, lots of good people on here.👍🏻
  11. That does look good! Hey, could have been a special order for, maybe Marilyn Monroe? Beautifully finished. 👍🏻
  12. Mate, I’d say mission accomplished. A beautiful job of replicating the original. 👍🏻
  13. I love the mid 60’s lmpalas, and this one is a beautifully built example. 👍🏻
  14. I love this! The colour, sharply done chrome trim. Lots to like about this one. 👍🏻
  15. Man, that’s smooth. Love the look of this. 👍🏻
  16. G’day Don, your Kristal klear is the same formula as my zap canopy glue. It dries with a flexible state, so you could scrape some of the ooze gently with a tooth pick, should get a little bit off. Hope this helps.
  17. G’day Don. I believe Topher is referring to the kit axle. The suspension is the same across the different Revell 32’s. Some guys fit resin aftermarket axles to lower their kits even more, so maybe that’s the reason Topher and Ace- Garageguy have spares.
  18. Mate, if it was me, I’d drill tiny holes at each point using a pin vice, put some wire in for strength, then super glue, basically the method NOBLNG suggested. However if the old eyes aren’t what they used to be, ( and l can relate to that! ) then the offers of replacements from Topher and Ace-Garage guy are worth following up, as the Revell 32 in all its forms is a great kit and builds into an excellent looking hot rod. 👍🏻
  19. G’day Don, sorry to hear about that. Got any pictures of the damage? Anything is fixable ( well, I reckon ). There are plenty of aftermarket resin axles for revell 32’s , but you may have to source it from the US, so it might be pricey. If that’s not an option, post some pics of the damaged axle and perhaps we could find a solution.
  20. Little Mazda is looking good Don. What glue are you using for the windows? I see the marks on the windscreen in the photo. I use Zap canopy glue, water based, so when you get ooze or some other glue stain, it dries clear, and can be wiped off with a damp cloth before it dries. Apologies in advance if you’re already using this type of glue. Cheers, Stu.
  21. G’day all, I recently finished this build of a car l owned in the 80’s. The HQ series of Holdens built from 71-74, were the main GM brand here in Australia with the Kingswood being the volume seller of the range. They sold well and by the mid 80’s were plentiful on the used car market and were snapped up by young guys for modifying and customising. I bought this one in ‘84, the deep offset wheels were already on it. I lowered it, put a floor shift in and as she was running the inline 6, had plans for a 350 V8 and 4 speed but never got around to it, I lost interest and sold it for something else. I had some good times in that old Holden and was sorry to hear some years later that it was written off in a smash. But, it lives on in 1/24 scale. As always, any comments, the good, the bad and the ugly are welcome. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.👍🏻
  22. G’day all. I’m calling the Q done. It was an enjoyable project and I learned a few things on the way. I’ll post some pics on under glass soon. Thanks to everyone for checking in and offering encouragement and advice. Cheers, Stuart.
  23. G’day Joe, couple of shots here, the instrument panel is the kit decal and the seat harness is Tamiya tape, the kit didn’t have a pilot figure or a harness, so l had to improvise. 👍🏻
  24. I’ve always liked this year of the Fury. The 4 door version was sold here in Australia in right hand drive form as the Dodge Phoenix. I like what you have done so far. I’m following this one. 👍🏻
  25. That’s smooth! I like it. 👍🏻
