Beautiful Shelby Mustang. The modern wheels compliment it nicely. Top stuff.

Beautiful work Donald, that colour really suits. That surgical tape you used on the convertible top does give it a nice fabric texture. Top stuff. 👍🏻

G’day Michael, regarding the window fitting, yeah, I’m currently building this one and I had to shave a mm off the sides to get the rear screen to sit in the recess in the body. Cheers, Stuart.👍🏻

I’ve got one of these in the stash. Keen to see how yours turns out and to pick up some build tips for when l do mine.👍🏻

Got the interior together, I’m not too sure about the decal seatbelts, they’ll look ok when it’s all finished and inside the body, but they wouldn’t look any good if it was a convertible. I’m pretty happy with how it all looks though. Cheers, Stuart.👍🏻

Medium brown metallic? I know what you’re thinking, did he shoot 6 coats, or only 5? Sorry, I’ll stop now. Seriously though, I am an Eastwood fan and I love a TV/ movie inspired build, so I’m following this one. 👍🏻

Oh yeah, this car has a real presence. Cool. 👍🏻 Lots to like about this one.

G’day Mario, nice work.👍🏻Beautiful paint. I can’t bmf wheel arch’s, these days I do them with a beveled edge chrome marker. These 70 Torinos, from the rear, side view remind me of the Aussie XA GT Ford Falcon coupe.

Nice work there Luke. I particularly like the cherry mica on that GTR Torana.👍🏻

Looking great Donald. The tape gives a nice texture to the convertible roof. Excellent choice of colour. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product. 👍🏻

What Are Some of Your Favourite Kits That You Built?
STU111 replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in Model Cars
These three stand out for me, because they were a joy to build from start to finish and the end result on each build turned out exactly as the vision I had for them before starting. Cheers, Stuart.👍🏻 -

G’day Luke, you seem to use the SMS paints fairly regularly, I’ve wanted to ask, how are they in terms of user friendliness and quality of finish? I’ve not used them before but have purchased some to replicate the factory colours on my HQ build. I’ll be spraying them through my trusty Iwata airbrush. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 👍🏻

You had me at Mustang. Seriously though, that is a beautifully done mildly customised Mustang. Nothin too fancy you say? Hits the spot for me. 👍🏻

Smooooooth! Beautiful colour. Is that Tamiya pearl green? It’s certainly a clean eye catching build. Top notch. 👍🏻

This is going to look tuff as. Keep the updates coming. 👍🏻

Surgical tape for texture on the convertible roof? Nice. I’m interested to see the results. I guess a convertible top would have a similar texture to a vinyl roof.

Lens two tone rim idea does look the goods, but any of the above choices are gonna look great on this one. Looks awesome at this stage, looking forward to seeing the final product. 👍🏻

Hey Tom, it’s a nicely detailed kit and l’m enjoying it ( apart from my first attempt at painting the body! ). Hope to see your build on the forum in the future. 👍🏻

Great looking little Duster! Nice colour choice, the Mopars always look great in the high impact shades. 👍🏻
-
That’s just awesome. The colours, the SS Cragars. I’d love a 1:1 version just like that. 👍🏻
-
I’m on board for this one Donald. You’ve just got to love a Porsche 911! 👍🏻

I’ve been doing a little work on the Olds lately and made some progress. After doing some research on the 71 442 W30, I’ve become a bit of a fan of this muscle car. This new found respect, coupled with my botched attempt at painting it first up, made me determined to do the Olds justice.Body fully polished out and bmf around the window trim. I used a chrome Gundam marker with the beveled tip for the wheel arch trim.My first try at flocking powder for carpet. I’m happy with it for a first attempt. My attempt at detail painting the kit wheels was less than perfect in my opinion, so I’m running with these chrome magnum style. My research has shown that Oldsmobile offered this type of wheel as an option for the 1971 year, so it’s still a factory style build.A bit of an overview of things. Have a pro tech pre wired distributor for the engine as well. Slow progress as l have 4 other builds on the go at the moment. Thanks for looking. Cheers , Stuart.👍🏻

Being a Clint Eastwood fan, I'm liking this, now, go ahead, make my day and build it. 👍🏻

Hi Michelle, that’s a great looking General Lee. Very tidy build, top stuff. 👍🏻
