Looking forward to it. Iβve got one of these in the stash myself, and looking through the sprues, it looks like a nice kit. ππ»

Gβday David, good to see you got the time to finish this one. Mate, that is smooooth! Itβs a great kit and youβve certainly done it justice. The colour choices, the detailed undercarriage to the big olβ Hemi, top stuff. ππ»

Gβday Bob, Iβm a bit late getting on board with this build, but I reckon this looks awesome. Iβm also blown away by the concept of 3D printing a whole car kit. Iβve got a few 3D printed wheels and other aftermarket stuff in my parts box, but the ability to print a whole car kit is a new one for me, l guess I havenβt been paying attention to new trends. For the tech savvy ( lβm not one! ) thereβs a whole new world of opportunities to build different stuff. Iβm looking forward to seeing this one finished and in the βunder glassβ section. ππ»

If the intent was to capture the 50βs look, then I say you nailed it! Beautiful looking 55. ππ» -

This looks so cool! Beautifully executed and I love the idea of sweets wrappers used to mimic old patina leather. Awesome. ππ» -
Gβday Steve, Iβve been waiting for you to post this on the forum. Mate, what an awesome looking combo, the details on both the Chev truck and the speedboat are amazing. I love the pickup bed, but I have to ask, what did you use for the polished steel bed strips? Are they foiled? The bed looks very befitting of an immaculate pickup. Top notch. ππ»

I bought this kit around 12-13 years ago mainly to try and get my son interested in the hobby. Because it was a jet, he thought it was cool and we built the cockpit assembly together, but he did eventually lose interest despite my best efforts. Because l was more into WW2 era stuff l packed it up and forgot about it. A couple of years ago the movie Top Gun Maverick hit the cinemas and my son and l went and watched it. To cut a long story short I enjoyed the movie and it made me want to drag it out and finish it. Any comments are welcome and thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart. ππ»

Gβday all, I had a can of Tamiya TS-59 pearl light red and I thought that teamed up with TS-38 gun metal, would look pretty good on the 56 Chev. I had a few issues, most notably the bare metal foil. Foiling is something I still struggle with but Iβm reasonably happy with this one and feel that Iβm getting better. As with any of my builds, any comments, the good, the bad or the ugly are welcome. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.ππ»
