  1. I was surprised to learn that at one time they were domesticated, and we basically abandoned them.
  2. Where's Ridley Scott?
  3. Only if it comes down to it, Bill. That had me laughing.
  4. Mom is just off screen on the left. You can see a glimpse of her right as the video starts on the left. The bird feeders are gonna come down for a bit I'm thinking.
  5. 1000007003.mp4
  6. Great style with this one,Tim. The hitch is a nice touch.
  7. Awesome looking truck, that thing is LOW. The Lincoln grille looks πŸ‘ πŸ‘
  8. I agree. I've sourced a few tools for the model bench, a small combination square, that scriber, and a set of adjustable parallels have migrated there. And an old 1/2 inch gauge block I use as a square. I've found a cheap scribe online, but it's the pencil style and longer. While It would except the pcb drills, it would probably be awkward to use.
  9. I've got a similar index, mine is a hout. I like to use both, depending on what I'm doing. That's a nice set, mine is the stack style. A little fiddley at times.
  10. I'm a welder/fabricator by trade, I have a bunch of starrett tools I use daily, and I collect their older stuff. Most of my collection, and some of my modeling tools, come from swap meets and flea markets. Beats paying retail, paid a dollar for this scriber. I still need to clean it up, but it's in great condition. I'm going to check the big box stores to see if they have similar that's more readily available and affordable.
  11. I've seen the abuse they can take,a good friend owns nothing but subaru. If they hold up to his abuse, they gotta be good. 380k is serious mileage.
  12. I don't blame you one bit, that's looking great man.
  13. For those that use pcb drill bits I found a Starrett scribe that fits the drills perfectly and acts like a pin vise, with an 1/8" collet.
  14. Opened up the sealed hawk weird-ohs kit I picked up the other day and it's doubled. I've got two complete sets of parts in one kit. Is this common with these kits?
  15. Beautiful bel-air. Great color choices, 55 is my favorite year out of the threeπŸ‘πŸ‘
  16. Absolutely. I try to handle what I can, those things within my control , worst-case situation sit and wait or leave. If I could have found a generator that ran on fuel oil, I would have. To be clear, not "prepper", we have outages fairly regularly where I live. almost every winter or wind storm brings down lines either on my property, or nearby. Anything over a day(10-12 hours) we take off to family or a hotel. We've had 3 day long issues a few times.
  17. Living in a city, you probably don't have the option for an emergency generator, correct? That was the smartest decision I made with my place. Between the well pump and oil furnace, the whole house is electrically dependent.
  18. Sharp looking '68. I really like the white with the stripes and red lines, and that interior is gorgeous. Very nicely done.πŸ‘πŸ‘
  19. David, there was a product called "future", an acrylic floor polish that modelers used as a clear coat, it's no longer available. I believe the replacement for that is called "quick shine". I wonder if something like that is available to you,and if it would seal the silver sharpie so I doesn't transfer or wipe off. Nice work with installing the windshield and back glass, that's the one step I'm most prone to having issues with.
  20. Welcome to the forum. That's a beautiful merc.
  21. From what I see that one ain't too bad, either. Anyone else tired of black primer?
  22. Nice work on this gto. You nailed the look and I like that you kept it pontiac powered. πŸ‘πŸ‘
