Here's a costly model

Ninety grand. You could probably(?) replicate the full size body for that price. ouch -

Great work Michelle. I really like that blue you used, and you have that car sitting perfectly. Gives off a real sleeper vibe. I like it.

Not my typical subject, I'd be on board to build the race version. That's one beautiful looking ride.

Right there with you on that. Like any "system", it's abused and loopholes exploited. -
What did you see on the road today?
johnyrotten replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Too much right foot, not enough left brain. I see the same on my road, my driveway is on a blind corner. More than a few have taken out my mailbox or worst, hit the large tree just in front of it. -
Loose answer would be it depends on what "system" you are using. MOST spray cans are gloss, and again that's a "nutshell" answer. There's a few factors that come into play with paint, especially metallic or pearls. Humidity, temperature and how you spray can cause "blushing" and make it look dull or "muddy". The createx I use tends to look flat, it's intended to have a clear top coat for the final finish, gloss, flat or satin. It would be helpful to say what paint you are using and how you sprayed it. Metallics, in my experience, need to be built up over a few coats, light to wet,to allow them to do their "thing". I've heard from professionals in the 1:1 world to never sand metallics, so I stick to that as a rule. Don't fret just yet over the issue, you can spray a compatible clear and polish it out after. You may want to try another, well shaken, Slightly heavier coat to bring out the shine. Good luck with your build.

Yeah, she fought you a bit, for sure. I've been there, all part of the hobby. I swear sometimes projects take on a mind of their own, no matter what they are, and kinda point you where the want to end up.

Port and starboard can be confusing to those not fluent in nautical terminology.

There's a few post in the "what did you accomplish" thread here. I chose not to do a w.i.p. on this one,as it's box stock and a recreation of a local car from my childhood. And I don't want to hijack your thread. Beautiful work on your road runner, those cars have a special spot for me, I grew up racing in a mostly Mopar garage.

Killer build! You nailed this one. Absolutely awesome paint and stance. That engine is all business.

Great work so far,Jim. I went with the same color combination for my 70 roadrunner. Nice job on that engine as well.

Junkbox 1953 Ford pickup

Cool looking ford. Great work and I'm really liking the bike in the bed, nice touch. -
Awesome build Michelle! Never seen one in pink, I'm shocked how good it looks, especially with the white interior. You have a good eye for style and color, for sure. This goes to show that every corvette doesn't need to be black,or red, or silver. Very nice work.

Really nice "clean" first build Kelly. Great paint work, the red over black looks perfect on there.

Ollie's strike again

Good point on popularity, and the box art isn't that appealing, for sure. I'm not familiar with the kit all, it was more of an opportunity buy. Haven't opened it yet, looking on the box it doesn't look like a horrible kit. Separate frame, exhaust, floorpans and seats. It might build up nicely or be decent donor material.
