  1. Awesome work on an iconic hotrod, Zippi. This looks amazing. 👍👍
  2. Tonight I spent entirely too much time making an alternator bracket. Probably could have made the full size one in the same amount of time.
  3. Ouch. Paint looks great, hopefully you can get the warping taken care of.
  4. They really give you that hard of a time over that. I'm barely legal on my kawasaki (no directional lights and just over minimum seat height) and have had no issues in NY. Inspection sticker isn't on the fork, either. I thought NY was bad.
  5. Great job on this, awesome color choice.
  6. Great start, always nice to re-create something you had. 👍
  7. Yes it is a Crosley. It wasn't in bad shape, pretty solid car. The Ranchero wasn't too bad either, some rust and l someone hacked the tunnel for a floor shift. Everything Around the shock towers was solid. Both were pretty complete .
  8. Very cool car. Nice work on this one👍👍
  9. Looks awesome, nice work on the grille. My votes for the 67 vette👍👍
  10. Came across these all at the same place. Guy was super cool and had an awesome shop. The vw was just down the road.
  11. Awesome. I went "dragged out of a barn and cut up" with mine. I like the period correct idea a bit more.
  12. Nice haul, I wish mine had deals like that.
  13. Looks great Michelle 👍👍.
  14. Shaping up to be a sharp looking '34.👍👍
  15. Here's a couple pictures, 69 daytona and 70 chevelle. It gives you an idea of how things were done
  16. Not blasting their products at all, I caught a video a while back where the screws on one of their throttle bodies came out and did some damage to one of Steve Morris's engines. Long story short, they now tack weld every screw on the throttle blades. Top tier company.
  17. Mr blonde in reservoir dogs was another.
  18. Older cast iron, and cast steel, can be extremely dense and strong. I've got an interest in old machining equipment, some manufacturers would cast the bases and parts and let them "season" or normalize for a while before finishing the lathe, mill ect. I wonder if that boiler "work hardened" over the years of service. As for the diamond wheel, cast iron has tons of carbon in it,that dulls most regular blades. Machinists cover the ways of their lathes to prevent wear and damage.
  19. Welcome to the forum, Arlen. Bunch of knowledgeable, good people here.
  20. That's some fantastic surgery you did here, the finished product speaks for itself. Beautiful pontiac. 👍👍
  21. The rear worked out great, and you don't have to build new arms. I'm going for mild hot rod version. The front is best lowered by moving the spindle up towards the control arm, the channeling doesn't gain a whole lot. I "pin" any connections like that for strength.
