  1. Nicely done Lenny. The Fordor was the way to go.
  2. Nicely done Lenny. How much of a "beater" are you planning on making it?
  3. Good tip thanks for sharing. 👍
  4. I use ca glue for metal to plastic bonds and resin pieces. Cheap harbor freight multi pack stuff. Works fine for what I need it to do. I've also used it with baking soda to make a rock hard filler. It works pretty well. that got me half a season of riding when the forks on my motorcycle were worn out.
  5. Very clean looking amx. Nice choice with the wheel/tire combo. Great color as well.
  6. I found the novus polish at home depot by the replacement windows, just so you know. Glad to hear you had success.
  7. Excellent save. Very nice work
  8. My wife has a small side business, selling on there. lots of flaky people on market place, and anywhere else for that matter. We've had some luck buying things, she just found me two kits last weekend. It's hit or miss, We've learned to look at the area where something is listed or where the person is coming from. Crummy part of town= no show, scam or headache.
  9. Good looking Catalina. Great job
  10. Make a jig. Draw what you need with the dimensions. ( spring eye to eye and the height from chassis to axle) transfer those measurements to a small piece of wood or styrene and use some pins, nails or screws to form the styrene into shape. You may have to heat the styrene to form it. It may have some "memory" so the bends might have to be tighter. That's how I made this one
  11. A few other people have posted similar questions, all good advice above. One trick I recently came across was using clay to support the windshield if you are worried about cracking it. I wet sand, followed by Mcguire scratch x and finish with novus. The Mcguire's may allow you to skip the sanding. I like to try the least abrasive options before going all in.
  12. No luck with the drop axle, this kit is stock only. It's the Revell/Monogram kit from 1997
  13. I may have one, just picked up an older kit, I'll check when I get out of work
  14. Exactly what I was thinking, good call. 👍
  15. Are you looking for the "spinner" style hubcaps?
  16. I had to do something similar to the dremel(harts) drill chucks i picked up at sprawlmart. They were "crunchy" out of the package. I've gotta get me a drill like yours.
  17. Great idea and a simple way to add a bit of character to a build.
  18. Looks awesome. I like what you did with the trim.
  19. Beautiful gto. The interior looks amazing. 👍👍
  20. Did you wrap the dash with tape or use the tape to imprint the texture?
  21. Very nice rebuild. Great choice with the color.
  22. Found a 44 inch Mac tools pry bar laying in the road this morning. Little rusty but no worse for wear.
  23. Absolutely get a compressor with a tank, while I currently have no issues with my tankless compressor, I see it's drawbacks. I went bang for buck, just starting out like you. Buy once, cry once.
  24. I believe those are more suited for cosmetics or cake decorating.
