  1. I just bought these kits but haven't opened them yet. Should I open and build them or take them back? Would like some of your opinions. Thanks.
  2. I kind of like the current points system, it' simple and pretty fair.
  3. Great find!I'm envious of your 66 ragtop, that's one year I don't have in my Impala collection. Post some pictures when you build it.
  4. I have that kit. It is curbside, but still has the typical crisp Tamiya detail. I had a 84 Audi that I bought new when I was stationed in Germany, thats why I bought the kit.
  5. As a last resort if you can't find the color you want, go to a local auto paint store and see if they will mix 4 or 8 oz. of the color you need. It may cost more but it can be used on future builds.

Killer build, love the wheels, love the stance.
  7. Excellent build of the most beautiful American car ever built.(I love mid sixties corvette coupes).
  8. Nice job so far, I'm a big Schumi/Ferrari fan. Keep us posted on your progress.
  9. I wouldn't mind having that in 1:1 in my driveway. Nice job.
  10. If you include customs, mine would be Cadzilla. But if it's only street rods, it would be a toss up between Milner's coupe and the California Kid.
  11. I like it. Thats where the new beetles engine should be.
  12. Nice job, I also have that same kit as well as several other Schumi kits. I haven't started any of them yet.
  13. Nice job,I like the 2 tone paint. I've been working on the same kit for the last several MONTHS. Between being lazy and too picky I'll never get finished. When I see builds like yours, it gives me some motivation to finish mine.
  14. Our local club participated in the local IMPS show last spring. We were asked to judge the automotive categories. We broke up into small groups, and you weren't allowed to judge a category you were entered in (no conflict of interest). It was my first time judging and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I learned alot in the process, but it was difficult to choose a winner in each category. I'd do it again if asked.
  15. Beautiful panel paint job, the chrome foil stripes on the roof is a nice period touch.
  16. Nice job so far! I paint 1:1 vehicles for my livelyhood,I can appreciate your hard work. Nice color, post the finished product when you're done.
  17. I love this magazine, I look foward to every issue and I read them cover to cover. But if I pissed off some of you or yanked someones chain or insulted someone, sorry. ######, from now on I'll keep my opinions to myself.
  18. Baby Moons and whitewalls will look great with that nice 2 tone paint.
  19. Guys, don't get me wrong. It is a fantastic build, I appreciate all the work that went into it. At one time I was into model railroading for awhile. Those guys know how to weather and detail stuff. The traction engine was very nicely weathered and detailed, I bet this guy is great at dioramas or building beaters and ratrods.
  20. Just received issue #137, great issue. I have one complaint,7 pages on a steam traction engine?! It was an interesting story but I think the subject matter is more suited to Model Railroading Magazine. Does anyone else feel the same way? I would rather see that much space for car features,how-to's,reviews,or show coverage.
  21. It took almost 50 years for someone to break Fangio's 4 in a row. I think it will be almost impossible to break Schumi's 5 in a row. There is way too much competition these days for any one driver to be that dominant. Besides there is only a handful of any kind of race car driver to win 7 championships in their given series.
  22. WOW imagine the possibilities! Do you think that thing could save the model companies money tooling up new kits?
  23. Musclecar look I'd use the rallyes, for the custom look definitely the chrome steelies.
  24. The show is tomorrow, hope to see some of you there.
  25. Absolutey awesome custom! Beautiful job, very sleek, I love the color.
