  1. Nice stuff, love the street rods.
  2. At age 14 I watched my grandfather die from lung cancer. Then at 16 (because of peer pressure) I started smoking (really smart), I smoked for 15 yrs. I quit cold turkey 21 years ago, best thing I could have done. To all the young modelers out there, if you haven't started-don't. If you do smoke-quit, you'll be glad you did.
  3. Wow. Nice job so far, thats alot of work to dechrome and smooth that kit. Beautiful paint, like the custom panel job. There was a car painted like that a while back in "The Rodders Journal". Looking foward to seeing it when you're done.
  4. Great job! I'm going to be buying that kit, very encouraging for the rest of us.
  5. Friend of mine at work said he had some kits in his attic I could have. Revell Early 90's Vette Amt 69 Olds 442 Annndddd.... Johan 1964 Cadillac Coupe de Ville- the only thing missing were the red taillight lenses- on order from Modelhaus.
  6. You're right 455 , I was thinking of the earlier Buicks like the earlier Wildcats and the Electra 225.
  7. Nice build. I like that kit, I wish it was full detail with a nice 425 nailhead.
  8. Flames. When have you ever seen anything that didn't look good with flames, especially a Willys.
  9. I have Brighthouse cable here in Florida, they offer around 20 plus High Definition channels. Contact your local provider and see if they carry HD. HD Theater is it's own channel, they have alot of great motorsport shows. ( WRC,Ilse of Man TT, Goodwood, Concours D'Elagance,e.g.) I was also mad when Speed turned into Nascar TV, at least they still show F1 I hope the Nascar gods weren't listening -they may add more useless Nascar news. Or worst yet 24 hours of Barrett Jackson. WRC is definitely awesome, the cars are built pretty tough. I watched the Ireland rally 2 weeks ago and one of the cars took out a power pole, the car and crew survived. For anyone searching, WRC is usually on Sunday evenings.
  10. I just finished watching my recording of the Norway rally on HD theater. Deep snow, narrow roads, large trees and speeds sometimes topping 120 mph (200 kph)= Freekin awesome. Anybody out there like WRC?
  11. Wow, very nice build. Great color, perfect stance.
  12. For those of you out there who have HD theater, they are going to show the races starting Sunday Oct 4. Cool.
  13. 58 Impala

    '33 Caddy!!!

That's definitely an oldtime cruiser. Nice job.
  14. 32 3 or 5 window Highboy,Flathead with 3 2bbl's,Candy Blue (with flames), Steelies w/babymoons and wide whites. Cool.
  15. I tend to watch alot of NCIS when building, pretty good show.
  16. Use a clear red toothbrush handle, that might work.
  17. Thats going to look good. Pick a cool color that will do the build justice. gotta love those 58's.
  18. Just watched the exibition races at Charlotte. They ran 4 Funny cars and then 4 Top Fuel cars side by side. Awesome! They haven't done anything like this since the 60's.
  19. Nice, I like the fade paint job.
  20. Great job so far, looking foward to seeing the finished product.
  21. Tamiya does have the best F1 kits out there. I like 1/20 scale, you get cleaner and much better detail. I am also waiting to get my hands on the Fujimi F2006.
  22. I like 32's, but how about some new tooling of '33-'36's. Especially '35-'36's.
  23. Try BearAir.com, they have a bunch of airbrush compressors at different prices. I bought their oiless 2 cylinder compressor for around $200. It is very quiet and works really well.
  24. If you use solder for headers or pipes, use solid or rosin core. Try to avoid acid core, unless you seal the ends the acid will corrode your pipes and make a mess.
