Two thumbs up !!! Great looking Ford. -
Yea I seen those cut marks a quick scuff and a dab of rust powder, and she's all good. Plus since its gonna be raced its gonna get track glue all over it. Lol. But, thanks and, good eyes.

Nice rod, now, if only we could get one of these in plastic.

Ok, this may belong in trucks section,.....but since it will be used as a slot car for drag racing, I thought Id just put it here. Ok, again Jeff wanted a rusty look, so using a resin body he provided ( a very heavy body ) not sure if it will be fast, but it will look cool. Duplicolor over red oxide with salt and rubber cement to provide rust and worn paint. Also used chalks to provide a very rusty look. A well used old Mac Tools truck. More paint than I wanted came off, but it is what it is. Luckily my 51 Ford WIP chassis worked for mockup pics.

Ok, another barn find for my friend that drag races slot cars. this is a resin Ford panel. It came with 3 different grilles, to be a 58 thru 60 I believe. Jeff wanted a Moon Equipment shop truck barn find. So, using duplicolor paints over red oxide primer, and weathering chalks/powders. I had no chassis to do the mock up pics,...but You get the idea. Since the pics I added some phone number decals, and weathered those too. More decal came off in places than I wanted, so one side is now the sound a cow makes. but it works.

Great job on a not so great kit. I remember building this one years and years ago, back in the late 70's LOL I was around 13 or so.

Nice Torino, always loved those cars. And You did a great job on that one !

Sweet build ! Very clean looking 55 !

Thanks, everyone. And, as for the wheels and tires its only a mockup for the pics. Besides, following the current rat rod/patina trend new wheels and tires on a rusty car, its kinda accurate nowdays. The heartbreaking part was, this was the best baremetal job I ever did. And I end up having to dullcoat it all. I did a quick interior up too, but I'm not sure of how much of it he will use, once depending on what the clearances are for the slot chassis.

I built this ( body and some interior only ) from AMTs 58 Impala. A friend of mine is really into the barn find/rust bucket look. So, here she is,....painted Krylon Celery over red oxide primer with the salt and rubber cement technique. And, also used various weathering powders. Also, I added a "mint" door on the passenger side, and broke headlight, cracked another, and mounted one at a angle. Its sitting on a chassis just for the pics. He wanted weathered, he got weathered. This will be used for slot car drag racing.

Revell/Model King '57 Ford police cars

Just got home with mine, and although the decal sheet is large, and nice decals, Im disappointed that they are so generic, and no real cities/states/counties or angencies. Tijuana Mexico, and Clearwater,...but no state. -

Cool build, but who or what is AZN ???? -

Always a bad idea, even when its not really hot out. A friend of mine bought a Hotwheels car of his 1/1 at a swap meet, set it on his dash, and in only a couple hours the HotWheels little plastic windows melted. -
Nice, great color choice. I remember building that kit when it came out. I gotta pick one up.

$700 For Model Rims...
kingiguana replied to MikeyB08's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nobody can be that dumb to believe these are real,....unless that is one huge box in the background. But then again, there's those who believe wrestling is real, and those who put their trust in our government. So anything is possible. -
Kinda reminds me of the Vette from King of the Mountain,.......except a rusty and dented vette ???? And the wheels are a little too far out of the fenders. Still a cool concept.

Nice ! Is that a resin body ? Or did You do the conversion. -
Very cool looking Ford. Simple, but effective. I love the front pic, it looks like Grumpy Cat. Or perhaps Grumpy Car ?
