But it would be such a soft comfy ride! And very unlikely to attract alot of police attention! Very nice!! -

Ohhh I love this! 1/24th? -
Love John, such a character, and one of the top funny car drivers I have a ton of respect for, the other is Cruz Pendregon. I lived for the weekends as a kid to watch these two face off. Win or lose they were class acts. Thank you for sharing the update!

Your welcome and not a pain. Yes its to get that general idea of how it will look, when your spitballing trying to figure out what to do with a build. -

No worries, and on the wheels, I just slip them in under the wheel wells to get a general look, and note if I am changing the stance. If you find my 61 Catalina post, it's exactly how I did the wheels. Sat the body on the rears, and slipped the fronts in the wells, I will keep the front stance really similar to that. -

So when I do a mock up, nothing is tacked, things are just sitting together. Some of my mockups are held together with blue painters tape, and the one I posted has the Chassis 95% done, and no engine, or interior, mainly checking ride height, etc and giving hints to the final build. Hope that helps Don! -
Beautiful work so far, and Love how your explaining things, and showing pictures!

Those are sharp! -
Had a friend on a model discord send me these 2 Fairlane's. One is all there the other is ... rough rough, but I will either turn it into a stock car or make a demo derby car out of it. Kyle, if you are here thank you again!

Great looking build! I enjoyed the process, tbh, really like the 3 yellows, gives subtle character to the build and not distracting! Do you have a duck for the hood? Cuz with a name like Quack Attack, you gotta have a duck! And mirrors aren't too scary, I had the same fear as well when I did the mirrors on my semi. Can't wait to see how you wrap this ole Duck up! -
Thanks Don! I was in the office again after the debacle with the Hudson, and dug out the OBS I have, and reorganized a few kits. They will be a little further down the road builds. But I will enjoy them for sure!

So I did some work on the Skyline chassis, and had the steering linkage working and I was messing with something and broke it, and then the other half took flying lessons, so it's another part I raid out of my other Skyline like it. (May have to change what I do with it) Put another coat of primer on the Catalina. Put another coat of primer on the Hudson, and it failed bad so into the pond it went. I knew then it was time to walk away.

Catalina's were full size and the Tempest were compact cars. I pulled this from Wiki. I haven't broke the box open yet to do a side by side comparison. (I have a sweet spot for the Catalina family as my first car was a 1973 Pontiac Catalina, 4dr with the 400/400 set up.)
