Thanks John! I tried to stick with the vibe of the 30's minus color choice, had to be bold. And the contrasting colors just happened to be an accident as I was shopping for paint for a plane. -
Love it!

Following! Have 2 of these in my stash, and was gonna avoid a stock build, but your interior is very nice and can't wait to see more progress on it!

So here is my view on a 30's mod styled Ford Pickup. This was started in my hotel, while out on the road for work, and wrapped up at the house. I learned a few things, and I lost the stupid license plate (gonna have to raid one out of my stash somewhere) I have to give the tail light some red and it will be done. Currently hanging out on my computer desk after building. I will be making a photo shoot booth so I stop using my paint booth.

Chevelle, Cougar and Willy's for sure, like 2-3 of each. -
Oh look.. 2-3 of these I didn't know I needed, this is a wicked looking Datsun! That box art is what has me at 2-3 for sure. I'm doomed, and my wallet is bawling!

@Vic Florie When is the next meeting? I live up the road in Collinsville, and have been invited one time before but got busy and was unable to attend. Royal has a great store! -
Show Us Your Work Bench
meechum68 replied to Bruce Poage's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So... atm, I need to finish organizing my bench, but because Squirrel... I am building when I should be organizing. Without further ado: So the shelving pics are about 2 years old, and they are stacked two deep and and there are a few more kits off on another shelf and table lol. -
My wife is supportive, and realized that my kits as a whole is cheaper than me working on a hot rod, and I am able to build her cars she likes as well. As far as space goes, she has a 10x16 building full of her 2 other hobbies, and a bedroom full of quilting things. So we don't step on each others toes either, I have selected material for her quilts she makes and she's selected paints, and such for my kits. We have weekends where we spend a few hours in our hobby rooms and then in the evening watch tv together and eat dinner together. We are a pair of home bodies so this works well for us. My first wife, would of hated it, and the couple times I mentioned getting back into it, she flipped so I never pressed it. My current wife is great. I spoil her, and she lets me spoil me on hobby stuff.
