  1. How do we know it's really 815 cu in? We're gonna have to tear it down and do a tech inspection! (just kidding of course)
  2. I agree with Mike...this kit is a bit of a bear to build right. If you pull it off...and it looks like you probably can...you'll have done a pretty cool thing! Good luck man...stick with it. Love Willys!
  3. Thanks much guys for the kind wishes on our anniversary. I hadn't been looking for them as I was only interested in the coincidence factor of that movie coming on almost exactly to the hour some 29 years later...but I do appreciate them! And congrats to you guys who have a few decades in your marriages too. It's not easy these days....
  4. Wayne, I posted a few photos of the 32 and a Wild Willie Borsch AA/FA last summer...you can see the thread here.... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33748&st=0&p=341617&fromsearch=1&#entry341617 And thank you!
  5. 29 years ago yesterday my wife and I were married. And 29 years ago today, at this very time (noon), we were in a 747 on our way to Acapulco for our honeymoon. And right about now we were watching "On Golden Pond" in the airplane. And guess what is starting right now on Showtime? Yep... "On Golden Pond"! Is that weird or what???? Spooky....
  6. I was wondering about this very thing! I have one of the reissues with the resin hood. Wonder if an injected hood will be much better?
  7. OOPS! My bad. But that's par for the course!
  8. http://downloads.hobbico.com/misc/rmx/2011_FallNR_Brch_lo.pdf
  9. Very nicely done. Really like this one!
  10. You built 80 NASCAR models??? Wow...talk about repetition! Not much changing but for the decals???
  11. No big deal and definitely not unusual. In my 22 year career, every one of my cruisers was unmarked except for the light bar...which I took off and stored in the trunk on my days off. Ct. Troopers are issued a car which they keep 24/7/365 because "by law" we are "on duty" 24/7/365. When off duty and in that cruiser, without family in it, the trooper must stop and assist broken down cars on the highway or respond to call for asistance or any emergency that comes up.
  12. Looks great! But I gotta say....my momma never drove anything as cool as this!
  13. I'd like to have a Triumph TR-4a but also include the 6 cylinder TR-6 engine so I could build a replica of the 68 TR-250 that I once owned in 1971. That was a cool little car in spite of all the stuff that broke!
  14. I usually get up around 5 A.M. every day and of course my wife had this wedding thing on. So I sat with her and watched it like a good husband. No big deal to me but one thing I did notice was that Kate's sister was gorgeous! LOL
  15. Well I just got back from seeing it with my 26 year old son and I have to say I enjoyed it. Mainly because this movie had a lot of humor in it. Yes yes...a lot of the stuff was unrealistic as hell and could not possibly have been able to have been done. But ya gotta take a movie like this for what it's intended...entertainment. I doubt they in any way shape or form intend for anything in this movie to be true-to-life! But there were some pretty funny laughs in this one. And I never saw the first 4 but my son told me there was no funny lines in the first 4....
  16. Very nice! Kit pipes?
  17. That was going to be my comment....I bet you had some time invested in polishing that paint out! How did you polish it? Did you use the polishing cloths from 3200 thru 12,000?
  18. Very nice indeed! That paint looks almost exactly like the House of Kolor Kandy tangerine over a gold base that I just painted my son-in-law's Harley with! Hosted on Fotki
  19. Yup Bill...yer absolutely right! I hate getting older...I miss little details like that sometimes! LOL
  20. Good eyes! Can't believe I missed that! It's definitely not a 67. Could be a 65 or 66. Hard to tell them apart until you look at the front grill. A 1965 Corvette has a grill composed solely of horizontal bars. A 1966 Corvette has a grill composed of both horizontal and vertical bars, a 'waffle' pattern. And since we can't see the grill, we really can't tell whether this one is a 65 or 66.
  21. NICE JOB!
  22. Yeah but about dem rear wrinkle walls....oop sorry...my bad..we already went there! Seriously though...really nice job...looks great!
