  1. Wow, thats one nice '34. I love everything about it, especially the wheels/tires and its "attitude" . Great work Jon and welcome to the forum.
  2. OMG that is soooo sweet!
  3. So far so good! Anything as low as this rates way high on the cool scale!
  4. Not my style, but I'd LOVE to have one! That looks like a pants-load of fun!
  5. Thats pretty cool! Got my favorite tuner wheels, plus its sweet-n-low!
  6. Thats cool Ed!! Looks like some parts from the ITC 1940 Mercury have shown up on epay. Box art: And heres whats on epay right now: http://www.ebay.com/...9#ht_500wt_1359
  7. I got this from Dave Reese this week. This car has a special memory for me ( see this thread http://www.modelcars...99 ) so when it became available I had to have it. It cost a pretty penny, but when Dave told me that Rick Williamson, the son of owner/driver Don Williamson mastered the casting, I knew I had a slice of history and the load I dropped on it made it all worthwhile!
  8. Born in 54, so the 60's and early 70's are what I miss. A half dozen hobby shops in my town, 2 slot car tracks, the original oakland roadster show, sprint cars, indoor midgets, an auto cross track, cruising the "strip" ( E. 14th street in San Leandro, it lasted for decades and was one of the only places cruise night was 7 days a week ) a couple airports ( i had a private pilots license ) but perhaps most of all was the Fremont Drag Strip. I spent many a Sunday watching the match races. Best memory ever was a match race between Brutus, Samson, The hairy Canary and a couple others. After dark the hairy canary came thru the lights, crossed up, rear wheels in the dirt shooting a rooster tail, without lifting at 160+. Never will forget that!
  9. Her dad is Jerry Hansen? Well, now I have more respect for her!
  10. If those are the tires you want, AMT and hollow in the middle, I have at least 6 or 8. PM me if you want them.
  11. Got my order yesterday. Impeccable quality and service, as expected! They set the standard for the industry. As far as needing 4 sheets to make one decal, I think its a good thing, only Special Appearance Decals and Slixx has the moxie to print what they do.
  12. Yea, but what happens when he offs it?
  13. I think the tires would be more accurate if they were based on the original Revell parts pack big-n-littles from the 60's. I have a set of resin copies from R&M, and they look spot-on. I dig the ratrod tires, but there are some subjects they dont fit all that well. I think Tee Buckets are one of those. We'll have to wait and see who builds it first, and how it comes out. I will buy the kit for the chrome wheels, and newly tooled carbs/scoops. Seriously tho, the wheels and tires make the model.....wouldnt it be nice if SOMEONE made a great set of hot rod tires/wheels with the quality of the japanese companies? Think the expensive Arii line....!
  14. Wow, thats nice. Unusual style these days, makes is very dated, therefore very cool! I think the monochrome pastel fluffy style is pretty nice now. I love it!!
  15. Yea, well, it prompted me to place an order. I dont care for any politics, Im just happy to place an order. So what if they used this to drum up orders. who else does what they do. Sheesh!!
  16. Thats great, I dont care if its simple, you captured the look! Ya know Clifford, you build the most cleanest models!
  17. Talk about an active imagination! I really like this David!
  18. I dig that "action" look !!
  19. One time I sliced open the tip of my thumb on my Dad's lathe. That was OK, though it bled a lot and really hurt. It was very sensitive for awhile, and I didnt change the gauze bandage soon enough. When I finally decided to, my skin had grown around the gauze. Now THAT hurt like you know what cleaning it up!
  20. That is very nice! I like the lowered front end and lakes pipes!
  21. Thats is sooo nice!
  22. Hmmm, it only worked on one of my albums, all the others are still small........
  23. Thanks, they look pretty nice. I think Ill pick up one of these~
