  1. Gorgeous build!
  2. Some nice craftsmanship going on here.
  3. Yea, I see a lip on the front of the shelves, what did you use?
  4. The very first thing I do is choose wheels/tires, set the stance and build from there. Two examples that took quite awhile to get right.
  5. Wow they're both fantastic! I think that Supra needs to be a bit lower though
  6. Yea, but wasnt the V-Rod 1/25th?
  7. This product is the "ultra" answer. Ultra-Restore by Innovative Hobby. Used by slot car guys. I polished part of an original AMT 40 ford, and believe me, it looks fantastic. Works on paint too. I'm sold on it. http://stores.ebay.com/Innovative-Hobby-Supply/Slot-Car-Model-Restore-Items-/_i.html?_fsub=446116719&_sid=356520459&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
  8. Scenes Unlimited has a great selection. Good service and a top notch product too! http://www.scenesunltd.com/WHEELS.html
  9. This seems like a question from the DMV drivers test. I cant pick an answer from part 2 because none of them are correct!
  10. Yup, Dave! I worked at a small company as a mechanic. We were so small that I was also the shipping/recieving mgr. My first few months I learned lessons. For 23 years I never had any shipments show up with damage to the contents, and I was using UPS and Greyhound exclusively, 2 companies not know to be kind to packages.
  11. Now thats clean, love the color and the lowered front end.
  12. So far so good! This is a 32 I've been working on. Although the chassis is that one-piece AMT deal from the frame rails mid engine to the back end, I channeled the body deeply to get the rear as low as I wanted. The work involved to get the back end very low is not worth it.
  13. Thats gonna be nice!
  14. I really dig it! First Dajiban model I've seen.
  15. Great score! that sofa joke was quite telling. When I read the subject of your post the first thing that popped into my mind was "geez, I've been waiting for a fiancee' for 20 years!" I dig the 70's too, I had made a down on a totally stock red grande around 1975. When I came to purchase it a few days later they had pimped it out with white vinyl lace decals and appliance fake basket wires on whitewalls. Needless to say I got my down back. What model is yours, and how about the drivetrain?
  16. Nice! But wheres the pic of the shadowbox?
  17. Dang thats some nice work!
  18. Agreed on the proportions of the 57 and the 70 Chevelle!
  19. Perhaps if one could build a Foose car straight out of the box to looks awesome ( that highriding 69 Firebird be damned ) or a Shakotan/Boso/Granchan iimport, it might make things simpler. Even a good tuner that had real 1:1 proportions would be good. Where I live, the subject matter is not as important as the style and attitude. After 50 years, I am still waiting for a 29 to 32 hotrod that is true to the real thing without a load of mods.
  20. I'm with ya Gluehead ( but I reject the reality that it is your name and will substitute my own ) I have one of the five, tho I cant remember the name, and it is buried deep in the pile. Not the Meter Cheater, Moon Mixer, Guber Wagon, nor T-Bone Steak. That being said, I'd love to own all five.
  21. In the last couple of years my mail shows up anywhere from noon to 6:30pm. For two decades it was always 11:30 to noon. A true story: Wednesday I hear the Postman's truck. I get my key and saunter out to the street-side mailbox. I'm fetching my mail as the Postman drives off. Just as I close my mailbox, here comes an second Postman with more mail. This has been happening a lot over the last 2 years. I dont understand why it takes 2 postmen to deliver one days residential mail. Must be why they lost 15 billion last year.
  22. Bill's correct. Some of the big time funnies had no sponsor "decals", everything was hand lettered, so gloss is the way to go.
