Stephen Wright The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink? When I'm not in my right mind, my left mind gets pretty crowded. What happens if you get scared half to death twice? A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child....eventually.

Dang Tom, you're the Ranchero master. I thought I had it covered, but my stuff is no comparison! The best one I've got, besides the ones in progress, is this. Will re-do it in Tamiya Maroon. I love the idea of of a T-Bird interior. Woulda never thought of that! -

Stainless Steel versus Chrome Trim

I have found that BMF "matte aluminum" looks much more in scale that the chrome or ultra bright chrome. -
What about Dragon Speech? I'm not much of a computer guy, but it would seem that if I can speak into my computer and have it print out the words, perhaps you could play the DVD into the microphone, then when done just use google translate.

Thanks for the confirmation Geoff! I had a '68, '69. and '71. I would love to duplicate my 1:1's. That Revell thing is horrid, and the Gunze and Tamiya's are too old.

Ceramacote is also supposed to be real good.

Chuck, they show up on ebay regularly, but they are starting to get pricey. I got this particular one from a friend on another forum, but I dont think I spent more than $20 including shipping. -

Yea Rob. The Ranchero is my pick. I've got a soft spot for them, and have accumulated a half dozen of those styline goofy things.. I have gotten obsessed with the Badman, and I'm waiting for my skills to match up with my ideas! -

Looking good Ron. I wanted to build mine as a street car, and make it look un-badman-ish. Left the mufflers, ground away the pipes and added shortys. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I spent a lot of time on the awful headers. Painted with metallizer polished aluminum. I ditched the blower for a tunnel ram from AMT's Sierra Grande 4x4. Worked over the fit of the kits firewall, then sprayed grey primer fogged with black and red primer to simulate Zolotone. Lastly the wheels were stripped, sprayed Testors silver, then the outer rims were done in BMF. Holes drilled for valve stems -

Yea, no kidding. I've given up coffee and anything caffeinated. Gotta say, tho, that the coffee cravings are a bad as when I stopped smoking. Oooo, I hear starbucks calling me..... -

Been thinking about joining in, but some of you guys are spoiled If its not one of those opening-everything-huge-flash-nothing-fits Revell kits, one needs to grow some cajones. Gluebombs Are NOT included in my criticism. I've got this mess of a Ranchero. Belive me, it took every method possible to strip it. There's some yucky corderoy glued onto the seats. No idea how to fix that one...... Then theres this Vicky. Its a "10-footer" Looks great at 10 feet, but the closer you get, UGGH And last, one butt ugly badman. I stripped real nice though. Too bad for me a year after I bought this Revell reissued it. -

Everyone needs at least ONE plastic Jesus! -
Very nice Art. Here are my examples. First bear in mind that I did these at the ripe old age of 16. The quality is not what I would accept from myself today. "Pacific" is all Testors enamels, with lettraset dry transfers for "trucking co". If you look close you can see I ran out of dry transfers for the right side and had to hand letter it. The "carter" is testors spray gold with hand lettering and again dry transfers. In retro spect, I should have cleared the gold, as its flat and doesnt look all that good. What I discovered is that the better the base decal is, the better your results will be. I found that AutoWorld decals, as well as old school Monogram were perfect. I didn't have so great results with the AMT decals. Look for glossiness on the base decal. If its really shiny, you'll get good results.

Geez Bill, you made something cool out of that horrid flintstone body. Way to go, I dig this. Too bad its not TRaK-able. -
Not a fan of big wheels, but these look fantastic! Love that ride height too!

Looking good Junior. I like how you've roughened up the sheet metal on the 57. Looks very realistic!
