When to polish enamel paint
Bainford replied to Chevy II's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I haven't tried hardeners, though as mentioned, time for enamels to gas-out is usually not an issue on my bench. Besides, most of my painting is now done in lacquer. There are others on the forum that do use enamel hardeners with success. One of the hobby specialist paint shops (MCW?) market a hardener formulated for their enamel line. -
Welcome aboard, Israel.

Nice Road Runner. Good looking paint. -
Only until you stuff the chassis from the '60 Starliner under it.

Cool! I bought one for the same reason. Looking to replicate (sort of) a '62 Starliner with Cammer power from an early 80s magazine that I fell in love with at the time. Always wanted to build it. The article made a lot of noise about it being the first practical Cammer powered street car. The article also mentioned that cam chains were changed every 100 miles, so I guess 'practical' is relative.

These same wheels, in a five-lug variant, are in the MPC '78 Corvette as the factory alloy wheels. Four wheels all in the narrow size, of course. Other MPC Vettes of the era also had them.

Very exciting project, Pierre. I have been curious about this kit, too. Nice work on the engine fins/ribs. -
Man, I wish I had your ability to keep multiple projects on the go. Is this the Type 18?

Wicked Cougar, Chuck. It's sporting some serious attitude.

Well there's something you don't see every day. Nice T-Bird! These T-Birds and their Lincoln Continental cousins looked so good in this light jade shade. Well done.

As a younger man, I had no time at all for big cars. Zero interest. Double so for big GM cars. But as I get older, the big 60s BOPs really have grown on me and I'm really starting to dig 'em. Anyway, this beautiful Buick just brought that though to mind. Nice work on the Electra. The colour suits it perfectly. I'd cruise that, for sure.

Stellar! That is one beautiful Oldsmobile. Clean work and lovely detailing. It's a lot of work going the extra mile to get the details right, but as this model shows, it's definitely worth it.
