Didja ask Santy Clause 'bout it?

Hey Kev, I say chill on the 65 conv for awhile and see if you can find you a 69 or two, before you do something you might regret. Looks to me like you was sprinklin flake way back in your evolution, and I likes the look of this here conv---almost like a flaky primer, or flat paint............but then that's just old decrepit me .

Hey Flow, that Lincoln aint lookin very horrible now In fact, it's looking goo, gooey, good! Of course, I just go to pieces when I sees me a taildragger. Got an idea for the roof, and I basically just set it down a bit, choppin the windshield a bit, straightening out the edge above the driver's head. Whatta ya think?

Hey Frozono, very nice work on your dragster. Too bad about your dropping it and chipping that fantastic flame job. You want to flame my 1:1 Caravan? It's about the same color as your dragster.

Hey Kanel, that is one sweet Caddy. I sure hope you're gonna redo it! Welcome back to the hobby. I got back into it myself not too long ago, after a lot longer than 10 years. Got a little bit of advice, or suggestions about your pictures. Don't know if you can set the size of your pictures on your camera. On my Canon A580 PowerShot, I can set it from full size down to 640X480 pixels which upload very easily. I have dialup, and it takes quite a few minutes to download the full size pics that just about everybody posts. The big full size pics are nice for showing details, but if you have dialup, it's slow going. On your computer, (I'm living dangerously here), you may have "Paint", a very basic creative program. You may be able to access it by right clicking on your photo and then clicking on 'edit', which should put it into "Paint" (if all the above is the case). If that does happen, you will only see a small portion of your photo. Click on "image" then "stretch or skew" from the pull down menu. You can then reduce the size of your photo by whatever percentage you want, and if you don't like the size, go to 'edit' and click 'undo' and try again. A couple other options are utilizing Fotki, or PhotoBucket. You can get free accounts with either that allow you to keep some pics on there and you can share pics you want on MCM thru them. Clay Jones wrote up this complete tutorial for transfering pics from PhotoBucket for MCM newbies: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12248 I never tried PhotoBucket, but got an account with Fotki. Here's a clink to my 'Death Racers' photo album on Fotki: http://public.fotki.com/V866/deathracers/ From there you can click on 'Home' and look into joining Fotki yourself if you like. Whatever, figure something out and let us see what you got---starting with dat baddy Caddy!!

Ok guys, been 'welding' more and more iron to the PonyAckAckAck. Gonna be one HEAVY pony. Armoured webcams on entry/escape hatch. Scored this little gun off'n a wrecked Klingon warbird. Still need BIG gun. Big plates to protect driver (big weights ). Gotta find a place for them straws, too.........for fresh air vent. Can't wait to start sloppin paint on this sled.

Nice 32 Dennis, and nice pix too. Love the light reflecting off the front hub cap in this shot! Congratz on the new camera, too, although I'm thinking it might be better if'n you remember to refer to it as "our" camera, specially when your girlfriend is around . I got me a Canon PowerShot A580 awhiles back, and it's awesome! Since yours has bigger numbers, it must be even more awesome-r than mine! My avatar is a pic of my "Li'l 'T'" taken in the sunshine with my Canon. Here's the clink to the 'Under Glass' pix of it: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...#39;+big+wheels As far as I can remember, I believe all the pix on the page were taken outside. Wait til you take some shots of your 32 in the sunshine--- that purple kandy will really be sweet then

’29 Model A Highboy Roadster - Updated 12/20
CB replied to Bernard Kron's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That's one cool lookin ride, Bernard. Do you know if, 'back in the day', did anyone ever chop that windshield? Didn't them guys have their hair all slicked back, back then? They wouldn't have needed such a high windshield. I'd probably chop it, but I'd drive it as is, given the chance . -
Oh no.......Bernard the 'stance-meister' is human! I guess it was bound to happen. This is the first build of yours, Bernard, that, in my humble opinion, doesn't have that typical awesome stance that I've come to expect from you. But I'm sure it is very period correct, and I'm diggin it coz of that. I gotta remember that not all rods look cool, from my memories of the good old days when I was pumping gas in the early '70s. Airshocks were the rage in the neighborhood, and I remember putting gas in a LeMans one nite, and the filler pipe (behind the license plate) was almost 4 feet off the ground, and the front bumper was almost scraping the road . That'd make a funny lookin build. Lookin forward to seeing this and yer '29 together. Love the color combo on this as well.

Nice work on the 28, Frank. Ditto what Carrucha said. Years ago I built a model of my '95 S10 long bed pickem up, using two kits so I could make the kit shortbed into a longbed. Might've been a '94 S10 kit, but close enuff for me. It might still exist, but if'n it does, it's probably in my ex-wife's curio and I aint real keen on seeing her again anytime soon. Aint got the 1:1 anymore anyhow, so...... Oh yeah, one question---how's come yer model aint black & white like it is in the photo?

Greeplings all, did this here 2 years ago immediatelsy after I retired. It is evil ---totally consumed me for 2 weeks........18-20 hours a day, made me buy a scroll saw, a drill press, all kinds of Halloweeeny stuffs started with one of them plastic (?) pujmpkins from Michaels Craft store made a rear deck from one of the pieces wacked off, licensxe plate 2 or 3 layers of foamy picnicy plates with paper flames behind used all kinds o stuffs: 1/2" plastic watre pipe for exhaust, prastic coat hanger for roll bar, steak knife blade for shifter with stryofoamo eyeball on it, little plastic squashes for heaflight buckets with bottoms of my psycho pill presciptin bottles for lenses, plastic dixie cups for wheel rims, white bond paper for whitewalls glued on to solid wooden tires made on the drillpress (couldn't find a lathe at the time) small hex nuts for luggers, and found me four dem acorn nuts for centers homemade wooden frame and carved wooden seat and steering wheel mix of Hallooween decortations for Sid. Started with small educamational skeleeton, added bigger arm & hand bones from larger one, and skull from another. Rammed a couple bloody red straightm pins into Sid's sockets, gave him a bit of a 'do'......and he's happy in his simulated aluminyum intereior made outa poster board plainted sivler rear end'Punkin' keeps an eye on whats happenin out back, seein ifn any parts are fallin off. hunka foam for air cleanin, an ######'ns badge is cut outa two layers of foam picinic plate all wood front end and brake drums. if Sid rides the brakes, he could have big problems boo bobbly skull tailem lites chrome 'trim' is simpley layers of hot melt gllue almost poured on and just let run and drip few more picx on my fotki......here's the clinker http://public.fotki.com/V866/crappy-howl-o-ween/
