  1. That's gonna be cool!!!!!! Are you building it as a stock car or a pro touring type car? Nice work so far! Makes me want to get mine back out and start working on it but I'm building a Kenworth right now and trying to stick with it. I have a baaaaaad habit of starting hundreds of projects but never finishing them! LOL
  2. A lot better ride in a conventional as well as your not sitting right above the front wheels.
  3. On the fuel tanks, the absolute best tanks I've ever seen are made by Jamie Rahmoeller (Mofugger Aluminum). He has made me quite a few sets to my specifications and they're gorgeous! I'm not sure if he's offering them right now but I can check with him. He's on this forum as well so he may even see this post.
  4. Your in luck, Jim at Micro Nitro makes a few different semi truck wheels that I designed. Jim is a member here in the group. http://www.micronitro.net/semi.htm I have also designed regular lug nuts and "acorn" style lug nuts to fit the wheels and these are made by Robert Bently of RB Motion. http://www.rbmotion.com/ Doug Walker in Canada just had some really nice six hole Alcoa wheels found on Kenworth's. He had a lot of them machined but I'm not sure if he still has any left? I can ask him if your interested. Have a look at my Fotki site in the album titled "Model Truck Wheels" and you'll see pics of these aluminum wheels as well as several resin wheels I have mastered and offer for sale. www.public.fotki.com/lotso
  5. Very nice work so far!!!!!!!!
  6. I think you parked in a baaaad neighborhood!!!!! They stole your wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I got you parts today and I'll be taking them to the post office in the morning.
  7. Where are the pics????? I'm not seeing any?????
  8. WOW! That's really cool!!!!!!!! And huge!!!!!!
  9. Check out these cool custom movie cars this guy makes out of Hotwheels!!!!!! He did all three versions of the Mad Max V8 Interceptor. They're pretty pricey though! http://www.johnspangler.com/hwcustoms/index.html
  10. Ooooooooh, I want one of these!!!!!!!!!! Can't afford 175.00 right now though That's what the last one sold for! Only 11 were made. http://www.johnspangler.com/hwcustoms/madmax1.html
  11. After doing a little reading the Interceptor was sold a few times and apparently resides in a collectors museum in Florida. They had offered it for sale after Mad Max and had no takers so the car was modified and used in The Road Warrior. After that it was sold to a collector.
  12. There's a guy that owns the actual Interceptor from the movie? I thought it was destroyed at the end of The Road Warrior? I know there's a lot of replicas but I thought the only actual movie cars that were left were wrecks in Broken Hill?
  13. LOL, I didn't even see the date! I thought you just finished it!
  14. Wow! I really like how it looks in that color!!!!!!!!!!! I just bought the original issue of this kit, still sealed off Ebay. Love that old box art!
  15. Was it?? I didn't think I was watching a rerun? I thought last year it was a several different kits that you could choose from but they had to be those Revell kits?
  16. Yeah, I think that's Dave Natale of American Industrial Truck Models.
  17. That is correct, soaking them in Westly's Bleach White removes any mold release. If you were to paint the parts and they did have mold release on them, it would be bad! ONLY use Westly's Bleach White! The Purple Power cleaners can actually saturate the resin and ruin it! Be sure to soak the part BEFORE you do any sanding as the mold release can be pushed down into the resin if you sand over it and cause paint problems later on. Be sure to wash the parts with warm water and dish soap after they have soaked in the Westly's. When you glue the parts together, it helps to rough up the areas that touch. It gives the glue something to bite into. Only use super glue or Epoxy for glueing resin to resin or resin to plastic.
  18. Far out, man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I saw on the last show that this time the theme will be muscle cars.
  20. I think that must have been from Jamie directly. He sometimes puts a few things on Ebay to see how well they'll do. His Ebay Id is Mack3241.
  21. Are these the same slicks that come in the reisued Gremlin kit?
