  1. Thank you very much Sam & John.
  2. You're not the only one who had/has forum issues, Tom. Hope you're better and welcome back.
  3. I like it. I like the heavy flaked paint and I like SHINY!
  4. Appreciate the kind words, Todd.
  5. I think it's a great thing that Revell did with the contest. Hopefully millions of people will watch the show, see the builds, and get interested in the hobby. So what if it a big PR deal for Revell and is/was expected to increase sales. If Revell makes more money, maybe they'll put some money into fresh molds and new kits for us to build. I entered the 2011 contest (didn't place) and plan to enter the 2012 contest (and probably won't win it either), but I'll be able to enjoy my hobby while I'm building.
  6. Looks like a very nice paint job.
  7. NIce build.
  8. Thanks, Nathan. I've built several of the sedans but this was the first coupe. There's a couple more sedans and a convertible in the stash but I'd like to find more coupes.
  9. I wish they made more than just the blue and the green. It looks good on that Monte Carlo.
  10. The brandy new Pace 24" Super Mini spray booth arrived today. I thought the bottom was a little flimsy so I cut some 1/2" plywood to make a firm, solid base. 11. For some reaason I thought you were in south FLA. When we get something going, it'll sure be posted on this forum.
  12. I'm not much of a rat rod person, but that trailer would look pretty cool.
  13. Don't know nothing about a show in Ft. Lauderdale. How about sending a flier? We have awareness and plans to attend the show in Tampa October14-16, 2011 and we just found out about the Pinellas Park show November 5-6, 2011.
  14. Wayne brought this puppy to our meeting Saturday. The pics are great but the seeing the real build is just fantastic.
  15. Glad you like it Dr. Cranky even though there's no rust.
  16. The dummy here has been spending good money at TCPGlobal and they're $2.00 more expensive for the pre-mixed 2oz bottles of HOK than Coast. A few months I found out about Coast through Dr. Cranky post. Wanna guess where my next order is going? I have a decent supply of HOK candies, so I was going to try and concentrate on getting some different color basecoats. And some SG100 clear.
  17. Hope you're feeling better Monoped and hope to see you at our September 3, 2011 meeting. I think we had a pretty good time, Mike. Quite a bit of business to take care of, but we were able to get through it all. Next month should be easier.
  18. Thanks for the posting and pics, Wayne. That hemi you're building is fantastic and the decals are unreal. Rob, you'll just have to come up for a Fast meeting to see that T-Bird. I don't know if John (builder) does MCM. I don't think he does. FAST is up & running with 14 paid members and we're also going to be an IPMS chapter. Meetings will be held on the 1st Saturday of every month at 10:00am. Most of the meetings will be held at the Hobby Lobby in Ocala, but occasionally we'll meet at other locations. In December we're supposed to meet in Orlando.
  19. I've been getting HOK paints from TCP Global but it appears Coast Airbrush has significantly lower prices. If I can't find Testor's at the LHS, I usually order from Hobbylinc.
  20. Thannnnnk you, guys. The computer tower (that was offered to MCM for a server) donated some of the wire used for hoses. They were just the right diameter and correct color.
  21. Has anyone used this stuff? Do you really need to use a gram scale to weigh it?
  22. SHINY is good.
  23. Cool little car. A long time ago a friend had one with a small block Chevy engine and big tires out back.
  24. Thanks, Steve. Yeah, I like the way the colors all come together on this build.
  25. It's been my pleasure. Thank you, John.
