  1. Looking really good.
  2. It shows up on black the best but over white or grey gives it a different look with some possibilities. I decanted some and shot the '40 Ford sedan/delivery the other day. I'm almost ready to wet sand and polish it out. So far it looks pretty good. I'll post pics in "Under Glass" when it's done.
  3. I use 25 gauge wire from Hobby Lobby instead of telephone wire. I drill the wheel, use Micro Krystal Klear to glue in the wire. Wait until dry and trim it off. Then I get a gob of the Krystal Clear and dab it on the tip of the wire. After it dries, I paint it either the body color or a contrasting color. Looks like a chrome vavle stem with a colored cap on it. You can check any of my builds that I've posted for pics.
  4. WOw. That looks pretty good, Romell. Somebody posted an Impala in his diorama bodyshop with a look like that.
  5. Nice looking hot rod. I thought we're not supposed to babes in our posts.
  6. Since the can of worms has been opened, when will the next issue (#160?) be coming out?
  7. Gosh - that's pretty!
  8. Hope you can make it up to us, Clay. This is a brand new, out of the box, model car/truck club. We're hoping to help boost model car/truck building. We have some ideas/plans and we hope things will work out for us - it'll all depend on our members.
  9. Yup. August 6, 2011, 10:00am, Hobby Lobby in Ocala on SR200 (College ave). Everyone is welcome to bring a build, something in progress, or whatever. The store opens at 9:00am. The meeting will start at 10:00am. There's several decisions that need to be made for the club before we can play.
  10. Friday I recieved a pacakge of motorcycle parts and today a jet ski & trailer from a trade with kobuzz.
  11. Looks even better. You might to change the directional tires around. The Charger is looking interesting.
  12. Tough call. They both look good. Mmmmmmm - cowl induction.
  13. The kart was really cool to start with but now it's getting fantastic.
  14. Looks like you're making progress.
  15. Very interesting project. Looks like you're doing very well with it.
  16. Lots of nice builds. Looks like it was a good show. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  17. From what I understand, Plymouth spent a great deal of money on the sound of the right horn. They never got it and started using VW Bug horns.
  18. Al Raab over at Ma's Resin sells Aluminite products at a very decent price.
  19. Looks good.
  20. I'm really not into racing, but I would love to see these tutorials. You never know when they might come in handy.
  21. I've been using Testors glue for clear parts for over a year and it's pretty decent. Before that I was using Micro Krystal Klear. My method is to set the glass in place and hold it in place with blue painters tape for an hour or so and then remove the tape. I don't want to get tape residue on the paint.
  22. Painted solder? Looks fantastic, Wayne.
  23. Never been into Corvettes, but that is one terrific looking build. I like SHINY!
  24. I use Plas-t-cote sandable primer under HOK paints. The primer works well for me.
