    Smart??

I think it's a cute little car. That paint and wheels really set it off though. Nice.
  2. Sure is low and I think I like those wheels (can't see enough of them). Sweet interior. And that reminds me, Rick, I need to get an order going for some parts.
  3. Nice build. Would be a super build with SHINY paint.
  4. Nice build. I bought one in April 1970 upon my return from Vietnam. It had a white interior though.
  5. 4th of July! Independence Day! May God bless those who have defended our great country and those who defend her today. God bless America!
  6. An hour south of Tampa is quite a haul to Ocala. You should think about moving further north. What show in Orlando? Got a flyer or a website? Our December 2011 meeting might be held in Orlando.
  7. Welcome to the MCM forum, Bence. Good looking Firebird.
  8. Really nice SHINY paint. The interior looks terrific and would love to see more pics of it.
  9. Super engine details and the paint is nice and SHINY.
  10. Nice looking build.
  11. You mean this excellent build is going to jump around?
  12. Don't know how I missed this SHINY build. Those Pegasus wheels look excellent painted.
  13. My favorite hobby tool has to be the 5 pound sledge hammer.
  14. Thanks Ron. I'm going to pull the grill and correct it.
  15. Go for it Hertsi! The next one I do will probably have a different engine; clear lens headlights; maybe '59 Caddy taillights and a different rear suspension. The kit front suspension brings the front way up high, so I put the axle on top of the springs instead of underneath. That dropped the front end a little. Lots of possibilities on this kit. BEWARE of the kit door hinges - they're garbage!!
  16. Thanks, Jeff. Can't go wrong with HOK paints. Might be a good idea to glue on the doors. The kit doors/hinges just kind of flop when open. Next time I'll try the Evergreen tubing and wire hinge. Yes, I have another Henry J in my stash.
  17. Thanks, Roy. But upside down? I thought I installed it according to the directions. I looked at it before it was glued in and thought it looked a little strange. I guess I'll have to try pulling it out and flipping it over.
  18. I like the holes for the door handle and trim. Looks as if someone is slowly building a nice ride.
  19. Maybe I need a better camera. I have a Kodak EasyShare M753. It has the flower (macro) on it but none of those other settings. Or should I just drive down the road and let you take the pics, Brian?
  20. Thank you for the comments. I use a small tripod, jbwelda. Maybe I'm trying to get too close? I loaded yesterday's pics into the Kodak software and tried zooming, cropping, enhance, remove red eye, and the pics lokked the same or worse - more blurry. I shall continue experimenting. Sure am glad the camera is digital.
  21. Cruz is building a gorgeous '62 T-Bird and he says you need to polish the body out before adding decals.
  22. I like the waterdrops. Do you have to clear after every phase of masking?
  23. Wow. Thanks Peter. Right I'm taking a bunch of pics that I can try and manipulate for better engine shots. My '68 Dodge charger is the subject matter. When I zoom the camera in macro, the pics come out blurry - more practice.
  24. You know, Chuck. Since the truck & trailer are kind of beat, maybe a real shiny build would look good with it? It would be different.
