Try using the blue painters tape instead of packing tape. I've never had residue with the painters tape.

Except for an all expense paid trip to Vietnam in 1969, I haven't been out of the USA. I don't even have a passport. When the lawn sprinkler system has completed it's run, I might venture out to Hobbytown USA in Gainesville - or I just might go to the hobby room and work on kits. It's tough making these major decisions everyday.
