  1. Looking marvelous.
  2. I'm liking what I'm seeing.
  3. The paint really pops. I like shiny paint. Those taillights are actually '59 Cadillac units that came in the '60 Chevy kit. The frenched license plate is excellent.
  4. Crescent City, CA was told to evacuate the town. I haven't been in contact with friends out there since the evacuation notice.
  5. I discovered crimp beads at Micheals a couple of weeks ago. I bought a combo pack that included 150 #1, 100 #2, 75 #3, and 75 #4 for about $2.99 before the discount. The #1 are ideal for fuel lines and with a little filining/sanding the #4 will work for radiator hoses. Next time up that way I'm going to look to see if there's a #5 and/or #6.
  6. I thought it was pretty slick getting a tip on making an oil dipstick out of wire. But now it looks as if brass tubing is the way. No way I'd ever even try timing marks. What amazing details! Unreal. My eyes were going crossed just looking.
  7. I think it's a gorgeous build.
  8. HOLY COW - $8.89 a gallon!! I don't think I'd be going out driving very often.
  9. How did I miss this cool looking build? I like it. Somebody ought to make that T-Bird tonneau in resin.
  10. Hey thanks Aaron. I looked again at my spray booth that sits atop a moveable cart. I mounted junction boxes to the cart and the junction boxes have switches in them (my friend connected everything). So I would just have to connect the power cord and plug it in. Cool and easy.
  11. Thumbnails are those little baby pics that you have to click on to see them? I don't open those either.

I thought Ferrari's are supposed to be red? How about red with pink stripes?
  13. Nice looking build, Lee. I like the color.
  14. Pretty cool with the decals in the engine bay.
  15. Hey Rob - Photobucket will automatically resize every pic uploaded? That could save me lots of time. At present, I take pics and download to Kodak easy share. Then I go in one pic at a time and resize to 50% and then upload to Photobucket. Your suggestion sounds much less painful and I'll have to try it on my next build.
  16. Got a roll your own butt if you want to travel all the way to FLA, Jon. Extremely cool video. Almost makes me want to go to the local Shell station for gas, but they're always .10 to .15 cents higher per gallon. The heck with that - $3.54 a gallon for unleaded regular is too high as it is. We need somebody to take out Gadafi and get the Libyan oil for free.
  17. Okay. Then I could probably run some wire to the switch I already have running to the bathroom exhaust fan. Maybe I'll wait to see how you mount that Dayton fan. Every pic I've seen of it shows the same angle.
  18. Thanks Rob. It seems I always forget something in my rush to get another model done. The wheels are glued on and I don't think I'll put it in the freezer to get them off. I'll try to remember for the next build.
  19. Thanks Dr. Cranky. I like those HOK paints. If you look close in the 1st & 4th pic, you can see the #1 bead crimpers I've started using on fuel lines - much cheaper than AN fittings. My next builds will feature a crankcase dip stick. One of these days I'll figure out throttle linkage.
  20. Keep the updates coming - please! I'm going to look up that exhaust fan with thoughts of upgrading my bathroom exhaust fan. I looked up that fan on the internet and it says there's no power cord or switch. How you supposed to run it? Hardwire from a remote switch?
  21. Thanks Monte & Wayne. Looking forward to seeing you and your builds in Gainesville, Wayne.
  22. On my last trip to Hobby Lobby, I was in their storage area and found little clear cups that screw together to form a 6 cup column. That make sense? Each cup is about 1 1/2" diameter and 1" tall. I think it was $1.99 or $2.99. I also found bead crimps in sizes 1,2,3,4. I started using the #1 crimp for the ends of fuel lines and the #4 for radiator hose. They're much cheaper than the AN fittings and work fine for my purposes.
  23. I've dealt with Revell several times for missing/replacement parts and never provided a reciept. They always wanted the original UPC from the box. You may want to try calling them.
