  1. I finally got the pics all together, labeled, resized, and uploaded to photobucket. So if you're in market for bucket seats, air filters, or Brembo disc brakes, please consider me. Just click on Crazy Scale Auto Parts in my signature and it'll take you to the photobucket site.
  2. It's not fair! You guys are getting the latest issue and talking about it and I don't have my copy yet. maybe tomorrow it'll be here. Or Friday. Or Saturday. Darn. I wish #155 would get here already.
  3. Looking very sweet - except for those wheels. I like the wire wheels. But hey, it's your build and you should do what you want. Are those holes in the back for exhaust pipes or taillights?
  4. Those are some very nice builds. I've thought about building a Rommel hot rod. I can see a set of Pegasus 23" chrome T's in back and 19" in the front. Somebody once measured the rear fender but I don't recall the dimensions. I can't recall if the wheel/tires filled that fender or not.
  5. Some really nice work going on here. Please keep posting progress.
  6. I've been using Dawn Power Dissolver lately. It works good, doesn't hurt the styrene, and it's gentle to the hands.
  7. I built my first model in 1958 and I stll have it (just kidding). I was 10 at the time.
  8. I follow the High Octane school of thought.
  9. Get over to Lowe's or Home Depot and purchase some 1/8" thick plexiglas and clear silicone caulk. Cut the plexi to the size needed, tape the outside corner with blue painters tape, silicone the inside corner. Let the caulk set up, square it up and cut the top to fit on top. Tape and caulk. Actually the first step is the base. 1" by whatever width and use a router to put on an edge. Then cut the plexi to fit those dimensions. I'll soon be making one for the Peterbilt 359 dragging a car hauler trailer - gonna be about 36" long.
  10. Glad to hear you're back and doing well.
  11. Hey Don - a nice feature about BMF is that you can easily remove it and do it all over again. NOt like you have to repair or repaint something. Hang in there - we all can't be masters at this hobby. Just do the best you can and have some FUN.
  12. Sounds interesting no matter which way you go. I'm going to keep watching for progress.
  13. I have a few projects on the workbench but have put them on hold to work on molding & casting. I've been taking pics and sorting things out in order to try and make a decent impression on all of you with CRAZY SCALE AUTO PARTS. I'm concentrating on bucket seatss and air fliters with a few other goodies thrown in. I'm getting there
  14. Scale Dreams carries a full line of Ken's Fuzzy Fur.
  15. Hot looking build. I love the flames.
  16. The blue '57 Chevy is actually HOK Candy Teal and it's mine, Rob. Wasn't that guys other build the kind of pinkish coupe?
  17. Thinkin' & prayin' for ya, Ed. Get better soon.
  18. Yeah it does help, John. Thank you.
  19. Me & george 53 ordered some Kosutte Ginsan from HWJapan. It was $25.00 for a little jar. It's a powder that needs to applied over gloss black enamel paint. It's much darker than Alclad but shines up very nicely. I posted pics of the ginsan vs. Alclad on this forum that showed a variety of attempts with both products. I have no idea how to find the post again.
  20. Hate to be a pain, John, but could you explain doing the sleeves? Please. I've seen the sleeves online. I think there's a couple of sizes. I was going to order a set but have no idea what to do with them when I got them.
  21. Yep - that's Rob's (Jantrix) trailer. Looks even better live.
  22. If that's the case George, at 63 I feel like 83 but want to do things like I was 23.
  23. Why did Ford make a different style for Canada? Didn't they do that for Australia too? Four door cars don't do much for me. It always seemed that 4 door cars were for old people, and now that I'm one of them, I still don't want a 4 door. In saying that, I'd still be interested in watching the build of your Meteor.
  24. I like the look of that roadster - especially with the wire wheels. Are they Pegasus units?
  25. Cruz - did you spray the embossing powder or brush it? Would it matter?
