  1. Happy Birthday, Wayne.
  2. I'm hoping my 5 window deuce will be complete by their deadline. I'm not affiliated with the show in any way, shape, or form, and rarely watch it on TV because I forget it's there. I did catch the show where they put a small block Ford into a Miata with very little work (at least on TV).
  3. I gave up on the Pegasus disc brake molds. Marc sent me some Brembo units and they're much easier in a 1 piece mold. Can you guys tell me how you pour the resin? I've been mixing the 2 parts in a small dixie cup and then squeezing the top to make a spout. That doesn't work very well when trying to pour into a small mold. I have a tiny poly funnel but was afraid that it would get clogged and ruined after the first use. A guy at JaxCon told me to heat the molds and add baby powder before pouring. I was out yesterday looking for a cheap microwave but $60 was the cheapest and I didn't buy it. I'm going to try a heat lamp and/or hair dryer. I got the baby powder. Appreciate your thoughts on pouring/heat/baby powder.
  4. Here's an update for you. Mike called last night and said his daughter went throught he heart surgery with flying colors. Mike hasn't posted for some time because he's depressed. While his little girl is doing well, they were evicted from the house and are now living with gramma. Further depressing is that Mike is/will be going through a divorce. Hang in there kid - life gets better down the road.
  5. It's your build, Kane, and you should build it the way want.
  6. When is #155 coming out? I'd like to see MCM go weekly.
  7. Not a lowrider person, but I love the paint scheme on this one.
  8. I'm liking this one a lot.
  9. I think the Corvette is a photoshop pic.
  10. I keep small files in a drawer of one those plastic storage units with all the little drawers. Larger tools go in a desk drawer (my workbench is an old desk), paint brushes, often used files, scissors, markers are stored in and ice cube tray (it's about 4" tall with about 20 cubes in it - a couple of bucks at Wal-Mart.
  11. Excellent build.
  12. I like nice and shiny hot rods.

    1967 Chevelle

Good looking build. I like the color and the details.
  14. I know who you're talking about, Rob. The guy did have some very nice builds. But since this was my first show since the mid to late 70's, I had no idea the guy keeps bringing the same builds all the time. I talked with him a couple of times during the day and picked up some tips from him. Whatever the case, I don't think I'd be comfortable bringing the same builds all the time. I would hope my skills would improve and that I'd be able to build something better for the next year. Congratulations to you and the trailer. It was terrific being able to meet you and your wife. Hopefully we'll meet again at the Gainesville show on April 9.
  15. Is there an NNL south?
  16. I don't think they're worth anything, so just send them to me and I'll reimburse you for the postage. Is that a deal, or what?
  17. Well, Danno, maybe it's time to get rid of the unions.
  18. But then the postal service just raises the postage rates and are talking about shutting down post office and eliminating Saturday delivery. Maybe the government should just contract out the whole shooting match and let somebody make it a profitable enterprise.
  19. Okay. I'll be wearing my brandy new MCM T-shirt (I hope Gregg & Harry read this - I need the points with MCM). The shirt is black. My stuff is all packed up and ready to go. I'm expecting a delivery tomorrow so have to wait for that. Never been to Jacksonville and I hope there's a Chili's nearby - I love their chips & salsa.
  20. I'm going up Friday afternoon and plan to be at the shopw place first thing in the morning. I could probably help out afterr I get my builds set up. maybe if we're in the same class I could drop yours to eliminate some competiton .
  21. Set up what?
  22. It's not snowing down here in west central FLA. Come on down!
  23. The pics that have been posted are wonderful, and a fantastic reminder of why I moved to FLA 9 years ago.
  24. Some very interesting techniques going on here.
  25. Suuny and 70s beats the heck out of 20s and snow anytime.
