  1. Good luck on your move. If you don't want the rain, send it over here. We could use a nice, soft soaking rain.
  2. In a recent email, Jeff replied to me about some wheels I ordered. He works a full time job and does the resin on the side. He's backed up with orders.
  3. Super looking build.
  4. I got my Tamiya stand(s) online somewhere and I'm pretty sure it was less than $25, but then you need to add shipping. I like the tip about glueing the base to the upper part. I've bodies partially paintedd and have it fall off when I tipped it upside down. Right to the purple pond after that.
  5. Looks like somebody lost a bet. There's no way somebody would do that on purpose.
  6. They'll stop coming in the mail. Sorry, but I couldn't pass that one up.
  7. Yeah! The build looks really good! How DID you do the wood?
  8. That's the Paasche H series single action?
  9. After retiring a friend of mine built a Cobra kit car with a 289 in it. It almost flew, it was so quick. I can only imagine a 427 in one of those little cars. Super fine looking build.
  10. That's cool. You might want to think about painting the front axle and steering column. Love the seat cover and your wheel/tire choice - paint color(s) too!
  11. I wish I had a whole bunch of money to waste!

    59 El Camino

I love the colors and the wheel choice. Terrific build.
  13. I believe that's the one, Jody. Polish the aluminum first.
  14. In that case, there was a post on this forum in the tips section about making your own stacks from aluminum tubing with flared tips. Keep us posted on your build.
  15. Looking good so far, Jody. You need to use an engine with a big blower on it!
  16. I have a ton of original, unpainted wheels from many kits, James, and many of the dog dish hucaps to fit. Problem is, I'm in FLorida USA and you're all the way in Australia. Gotta be expensive to ship all the way down there.
  17. That's a scary looking thing. Great details.
  18. Ma's Resin (Alan Raab) makes some fantastic tires and another thread here says that Alan will soon be making wheels.
  19. You going to put those flashing lights in the hood too?
  20. Married only ten years (this time) but I now how you feel Johnny. My thoughts and prayer are with you and your wife.
  21. And it looks nice and shiny. Best of luck at the show.
  22. I'm a glue the wires into aluminum tubing or drill out the distributor from the kit. I get my wire from Rick at Scale Dreams. Rick also carries Model Car Garage wire looms that I use. It looks like Kris Morgan makes so very fine distributors - many people here love them - but I don't build big buck models so I won't pay 4 or 5 bucks for a distributor. I sometimes feel bad spending 7 to 9 bucks on Pegasus wheel/tires. I did purchase some tires from Alan Raab at Ma's Resin and they are fantastic tires. I'm waiting on some wheels from Time Machine Resin, but can't comment 'cuz they're not here yet.
  23. Not so easy since moving to Florida - we don't need a front plate (tag) down here. On my 1:1 and several friends vehicles, I've covered the factory insignia (Ford, Nissan, Chevy, etc) and covered them with vinyl sign tape in the colors of the Vietnam ribbon.
  24. Gseeds, you would be the man to correct the mistakes that I wasn't able to do. Looking forward to seeing your build.
  25. Thanks agian for the compliments. I'm sure somebody like you Marcos or one of the other builders on my hate list could do a fantastic build from a very inferior kit.
