  1. Loaded? I don't want to buy a magazine at the LHS and then get the same issue in the mail. That's all. I would think a publisher would be able to answer what I thought was a relatively simple question.
  2. I'm getting tired of making a 44 mile round trip just to get the MCM magazine, so I thought I might try a subscription. How long after I sign up would it be before I'd get the first magazine in the mail?
  3. I'm not a fan of those wheels but I think the whole looks pretty good. Very nice paint.
  4. This is going no where fast and I won't be wasting time looking at any further "Need a Company name" posts. I'd rather be building - but it's 5:00pm and cocktail time. Since it's Friday night, we're talking pizza, some pool time, popcorn, and WWE. Have a great night everyone.
  5. Got an email that The Model Car Garage is having a 20% off sale through June 4, 2010. You want to check it out. www.modelcargarage.com
  6. If that don't work, I can send you the jpeg file of the hauler I made.
  7. Very nice build. I did one years and years ago. Don't you love the etched glass?
  8. I like both of them. Nice job with the BMF.
  9. You're welcome Qwit Pushin. Back problems prevented me from attending Rolling Thunder XXII demonstration ride this weekend in Washington, DC. No where else can you get over 600,000 bikes together in one place at one time and ride for POW/MIA awareness and Veterans issues. Hopefully I'll be able to make next year. So I'll be headed over to a local cemetery on Monday for Memorial Day ceremonies at 10:00am.
  10. Hey Nick - how about Crazy Towing? And you could put my picture on it. I like the Happy Hooker.
  11. Mine is vented through the wall of my shop - a steel building. I run a 6' piece of 4" flexible ducting from the fan to the wall. There has been no overspray, drips, dust, whatever on the siding. I do have one of those flapper things to keep birds and such outside the shop.
  12. Thanks Mike. The only problem with the cart is that the drawers are too shallow to stand 2 ox bottles of HOK paint in so I had to build a seperate sheving unit to hold them. Still works for me though.
  13. Looks terrific, Matt. Welcome to the forum.
  14. Welcome Lani. Your Predeicta looks good. There's lots of info available here and lots to learn. I'm amazed at some of the builds shown on the site. They're just fantastic.
  15. So when are going to see pics and pricing?
  16. Photobucket is back and here's pics of my spraybooth. The cart came from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool (don't remember which), compressor, light fixture, exhaust fan from Lowe's. I wired so there's an extension cord to plug in and that provides power to the 4 switched receptacles (light, fan, compressor, spare). It's modeled after the large, expensive Pace unit but not as expensive. I cut a hole in the shop wall and mounted a dryer vent and attached the 4" hose. On the booth side I used a PVC fitting to attache the hose to and notched the PVC to latch onto bolts on the fan housing.
  17. Yeah. It is a nice kit and goes together well. You can see now what I mean about the box. I've been saving it because I thought somebody might want it. I guess it'll go in the trash can.
  18. What I meant about the Catalina box is that it has pictures on it - not just a plain old box. I'll try to take some pics for you.
  19. I use Plasticote primer shot from the can. Seems to be a finer spray pattern.
  20. How long do you keep a model in one of those things?
  21. Your gas coupe is looking good and I'm enjoying your progress. One comment/question - aren't the rear shocks upside down?
  22. Thirty bucks for a box?? Have you seen the box for the new '62 Pontiac Catalina? I saved it because I thought somebody might be interested in it - sounds like you're the guy! Would you care to trade something for it? Maybe a set of wheels or a couple of chrome air cleaners?
  23. Pace has been ot there for years and from what I understand makes a terrific product. I would think you being the new kid on the block would need to be significantly lower in price than Pace. What about an option to have an outside exhaust? Using cheap furnace filters?
  24. Welcome. You can have a lot of fun here and might be able to learn a thing or two about modeling. It's great. Don't forget the internet as a supply source. There's a ton of goodies out there.
